2300ERS Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

Thanks, have been looking for a replacement for this dinosaur filter forever. It is great!

Installed the part------very easy

shut circuit breaker, remove two screws, lift knob panel, move wires to new switch, remove and replace switch, clean surface

pulled he cooktop, replaced the recepticles, reassembled.

I unplugged the stove. Took out the burner and removed receptacle by pulling it out of the bracket and clipping the wires. One thing you want to make sure is that when you clip the wires from the receptacle you're replacing you leave enough wire so that you can connect them to the wires on the new receptacle when it is in place on the stove. I had just enough but would have liked more. The bracket I received didn't match the one on the stove so I used the one on the stove since the receptacle itself was the same as the one I was replacing.

I installed a new infinite switch, which created a new problem. The large burner switch turned the small burner on. I replaced the large burner switch an that stopped that problem. But now the small burner still only comes on to high temp. Need help in determining how to correct that problem.I had already replaced the small burner switch before I replaced the large burner switch and I still have the small burner only coming onn to high heat.

Replacing the switch was very easy. First I unplugged the range to be sure there would be no electrical power to the switch. Then I removed four screws to remove the switch cover plate (located above the oven door). I disconnected the wires from the pin connectors on the broken switch, then removed the switch by removing one hex nut. The new switch was installed by reversing the removal procedure. Took about 15 minutes total time.

I lifted off the old grill and replaced them with the new ones. My stove top looks great again. If I could find them, I would like to replace the knobs to turn on the gas!

Shut off power at breaker box. Removed top burner unit. Removed old receptacle (Mounting screw was rusty so I drilld out the old one.) Cut wires from old unit. Stripped wires back on old unit. Attached old and new wire with ceramic wire nut. Attached new unit. Reinserted top unit. Reconnected power and "voila". Wife was smiling again.

Simply pulled the old filter out and put the new filter in.

I ordered part one day, recieved part the next day. I installed it the next day. It worked perfect. THANK YOU!

Turned off the circuit breaker! Removed the four Phillips screws below the trim, parallel to and above the oven door; removed the trim, then the nut holding the switch (below the knob, removed). Replaced the terminal lugs one at at time from broken switch to new switch. Replaced new switch, nut, trim and screws. Pulled all four burners and replaced drip pans; replaced burners and replaced old control knobs with new knobs. A pleasure working with American made appliances designed to be repaired and not just thrown away! ( P.S.: Parts were delivered to but not for Derickson Lumber Co.) Dick Ford

This down draft filter was just what I was looking for. The big box stores (Home Depot and Lowe's) do not carry this size filter. Thanks,

10 Minutes for a stove my landlord thought was not fixable (repairman had already cut the wires to the element and capped them)! The delivery person handed me the package, I got out the single tool needed, installed the part, put away the tool, cleaned my hands, and put a pot of water on the stove to boil for pasta. 10 minutes!

Well, I had to search a bit deeper in the internet to find out that the problem was not with the surface burner (which did look a bit burned out anyway) but rather with the surface burner switch (Part Number: PS336885) which must have ben damaged by the heat of the closest burner. If this problem would have been better documented (or if I would have searched more carefully) I would have saved over $40 with parts (Surface Burner Receptacle Kit) that I didn't quite need. Repairing the switch was very easy, thanks also to the available video , even though the stove used on this video (front panel) didn't quite match mine (top-back panel).
