I watched the video that showed how to do the repair. I did exactly what I was shown on the video, and everything worked the very first time ! It was GREAT ! No more squeaking idle pulley !

This is a long, sad story, but I'll cut to the chase. I was told by few appliance repair guys that my problem was most likely due to the motor being bad. I had checked the thermal fuse, the door switch, and the power switch, and all were good so that made sense. I then saw a video which made it seem fairly straight forward to remove the old motor and replace it. So I ordered the motor from Part Select. Turns out it's impossible to remove the motor without also removing (and replacing) the blower. The video never mentions that. Also FYI, I found out that my dryer switch WAS broken, and nothing was wrong with the motor, so I spent $250 on a repair that should have cost %40. Oh well ...

It snapped right in. Works perfect.

I watched the video and after that made the repair, it was very easy and the video was a really big help. From start to finish it took me no longer than 10 minutes.

Went on-line, used Youtube to diagnosed heater element problem, went online and PartSelect's name came up-- easily found the element I needed -- the price was so reasonable that I did not feel I needed to price repair. Ordered the part -- part came fast-- no hasles.

I watched your repair video and followed what the repair man said and did, it was a snap! I needed my dryer fast so decided to do it myself. I am a 65 year old female and petite, so I say if I can do it anyone can. Your video was the key to my sucess.

I watched the video on utube first, and thought this is a breeze. I'm older and so getting down on my but in the back was what I thought was going to be the hardest part. I removed the screws that held the back plate. Once inside the back I removed the plugs to the heating element with plyers, and the little round thing with nut driver. Ok, what now the video showed where the element just lifted out, mine didn't it was totally encased in the housing. So I felt around to see what was holding it and found a little screw on the backside of the housing, which took some work, and the head lamp so I could see, finally after all that I got the little screw out. The housing for the element still would not come out. so I went back to the video, no help there because the housing on the video just came out and went together about halfway up the housing, mine didn't it was just one piece, so I came here to parts select site and read what other people had said regarding their dryer. I found the information I needed. Thank goodness. I removed the two screws in the front of the lent trap, opened the top of my dryer removed the little Hex nut that held the housing in place, then I went back and removed the heating housing, replaced the element. It was kinda tight, but it fit. I went back to the front put the hex nut back on replace the two nuts in the lent trap closed the top of my dryer, sat back down and replaced that little round thermostate thingy, plugged in the wires to the heating element replaced the back plugged it in and Oh Yeah I had heat. The experience demanded a "High Five" , I felt like a million bucks- this old lady did it herself and the hardest part was having the correct information and getting up and down off the floor. Thanks for all the help!

My wife did the repair. Went on your website and watch the video on how to replace the switch and she was able to do it herself. I didn't mind at all. Saved $75.00 service charge.

I followed the instructions from your sight mainly with a alteration.

removed two screws from filter chute,raised top of dryer and removed front panel,lifted drum out,replace both rollers,replaced drum,reset belt tensioner replace front panel,lowered top,put screws back into filter chute.

Remove the back panel, then remove the housing around the blower, just slide the housing of to the side, you don't have to take it completly of the machine. Remove the top, and remove the front until you can get to the blower motor. Cut the blower wheel plastic down to the metal nut with a fine blade in a recipricating saw, used a bi-directional broken stud remover socket on the nut that was at the center of the blower wheel and large slip joint plyer on the other end of the shaft. Replace the wheel and put back together. It took about as much time to gather up the tools as it did to fix it.,

un plug, gas shut off, nut driver back cover, remove lint screen, slide top forward and lift. disconnect close sensor- front. remove front. remove drive belt and tub. get wife dressed in cookie monster footie pj's to hold motor with wrench while reverse threading fan. remove motor- order from this site, got motor next day. reassemble less than 30 minutes. Impress wife and get lovin!

Aser your instructions I ordered and replaced the elemateand now it is back to normal. Much thanks

You have to disassemble the dryer. I looked up how to on youtube.com. I am grateful that people take the time to record the steps in which to do just about anything. Disassembled and ordered motor and fan, damaged fan taking it off, got it in in just a couple of days, installed motor, fan and drum, tested before complete assembly. Works great. Thanks

removed 4 screws. 2 in the back and 2 at the lint screen door. Remove top lid of dryer and looked down and there was the door switch with the broken actuator spring. A diagram of the dryer with part locations is very helpful. I checked the switch with volt meter to make sure it was ok. It was ok! Replace the actuator and put every thing back together and dryer works just fine. Thanks to PartSelect I was able to buy the actuator spring buy itself and not have to buy the switch also.
