11066852694 Kenmore Dryer - Instructions

We got this dryer from my F-I-L after they had to enter an elderly home. My F-I-L was a modern Tim-Tool-Man-Tyler. He had removed most of the protections and installed a 392 Thermal cut off, I guess he wanted to dry his cloths in 30 seconds or less. I was not aware of this, and used the dryer. Yes you guessed it, we sat it for a 30 minute cycle and it blew the cut-off and melted the wiring. I am a degree/certified computer tech so I fixed it myself, but I hate 220 electricity. Need less to say I checked with this site for the OEM parts and they pointed me in the correct direction. I did have to remake some of the wires since they were crisp, but it all went well and it was easy enough. The lesson, companies install OEM parts for a GOOD reason, best always to follow the makers directions.

Simply changed the designated parts according to instructions.

unplugged unit, removed the back panel replace thermo fuse and replace back panel, plugged electric cord back in and we were back in business. real easy fixx

After testing all the thermostats, I realized it was the heating element. I ordered the part right away, it came in 2 days later. It took me 15 minutes to open the dryer, put the new part in and then close the dryer. I must have saved $200. Thanks partselect for the videos and the fast shipping.

I followed the video on the website, removing the back of the dryer, then located and removed the thermal fuse, replaced it with the new one..... Presto, it worked... Replaced the back of the dryer and was good to go... Thank you Part Select

replaced thermo fuse. not the problem. not sure how to test for next step. timer, cycler tumbler all work just won't fire up.

bought thermal fuse and thermostat as most likely. Took apart and checked with voltmeter and found the fuse open. Replaced it. Video instructions are helpful as is the part location in the drawings. Real problem was lint had built up in back vent area, blocking cooling/ burner intake air. Went through entire dryer and vacuumed it out

I replaced the Cycling thermostat. At first I thought I may have blamed the wrong part because the ohm meter read almost the same for the old and the new part. It took less than a day for the part to come probably because it came from Jacksonville. I haven't guessed how much I saved by not calling a appliance repair.

The thermal fuse worked and fit but the cycling thermostat was not correct so I paid for a part that was wrong did not fit the model #. The other part was repaired and working in around 20 minutes

I watched your YouTube video about trouble shooting dryers, and found that the problem was my thermal fuse was out. My exact model of dryer was used in the video. I ordered the part and replaced it following the instructions on YouTube. Since the video was so helpful, I decided to order my part from your company

Most of the time was spent just getting behind the dryer and removing the back panel. It was also a great time to vacuum the area. If you're not working in tight quarters, this repair is really easy. The fuse is not hidden and requires no tools to install (only a wrench to remove the back panel). It started working right away & the part cost significantly less than a service call (about nine bucks + shipping).

Got the latch kit, found the correct one, popped it in...dryer works! Thanks....
