The door Switich on our dryer had broke, and we were using something to push the broken swich enough to get the dryer going. We could not find the piece we needed so I went to PartSelect and it was so easy finding what I needed I put in the Model number and looked and there it was. I called and ode
We usedthe instructions that PartsSelect offered. Unscrewed the top in the back of the dryer lifted it up and replaced the part. A Lot cheaper than calling a repairman...

No heat
It took longest to take apart and test to see which part was bad. I had never done it before. Got it apart and used the drawings on Parts Select to find location of parts. Testing only few minutes found bad thermostat.Ordered parts, and they came in 1 1/2 days. I replaced both thermostats being they were in the kit. Actual repair took maybe 15 minutes. Vacuumed out everything I could. Took lint trap out a vacuumed. Put it back together, plugged it in, heated like new. All time told I would say little over hour.

Broken Dryer Belt
Ordered entire Maintenance kit - good call because it was the tensioner pulley that failed and cut the belt. To replace, had to raise the top (2 screws in lint screen slot)and pull the entire front off (2 screws - 1/ea on top inner edge of front door panel then lift it up and out) Replaced both rollers, then used the parts kit shipping box to prop up the front of the drum while installing the belt and tensioner pully. Re-assembled in reverse order, works fine.

no heat, dryer would not shut off
I went to partselect.com, input my model number and problem, I clicked on the right solution and watched a short video on how to repair the problem. Ordered the parts which arrived the next day. It took me ten minutes to replace the two parts I had ordered and the problem was solved. I probably saved a couple hundred dollars doing this repair myself..

Dryer would not heat up. Dryer would not shut off when door opened.
I would like to thank the people who created this site. My husband recently passed away from stage 4 esophageal cancer. We only knew he had it for five weeks before he passed. With the medical bills he left behind, I really could not afford to buy a new dryer or hire anyone to fix mine. I do not remember how I found Parts Select but I'm thrilled I did. I first used an ohm meter to find the defective part. Then I followed the step by step video and was able to completely fix my dryer in about an hour. Changing the connectors on the thermal cut-off was a bit of a challenge for me but I managed. I also changed the switch on the door which allows the dryer to shut off when the door is opened. I am truely grateful for this site and will highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

my dryer just stoped drying.
I went to parts select website to find out how to repair it myself because when I took the heating coil off I could tell just by looking at it that it was not broke or cracked in anyway so I went to the website to get an idea of how to start diagnosing were the real problem actually was and I found everything I needed from step by step instructions to diagrams and symptom diagnosis and actual pictures of the parts themselfs.

Belt broke
Called PartSelect, gave them the make and model number of the dryer and told them I needed a new belt for it. They gave me a price including shipment (under $20.00). I oreder the new belt and it arrived within a week. I also got an e-mail from PartSelect with a video showing how to replace the belt. This was very helpful. I was able to watch the video, take the dryer apart, replace the belt (after a few tries), and put the dryer back together. Problem solved! Thanks PartSelect.
