10660182000 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

Mine was alittle different than the online instructions. 1. I removed the motor. 2. I took the fan off the old motor and cut the wires about 3" back from old motor. 3. Mounted the new fan on bracket and put the fan on the new motor. 4.connected wires that were cut and used wire nuts to connect. 5. Mounted bracket and motor/fan to unit and it works like its brand new. Thank you PartSelect!

I had to take the icemaker cover door off to get the icemaker in. Then I realized I needed to use the additional brackets.

I watched the video on how to make the repair. It was that easy. The hardest part was disconnecting the electrical. Once that was done it was a really simple fix.

Unscrewed bolts pulled out motor,unhooked motor,replaced with new motor,put back in and replaced screws..fairly easy..then we had ice that evening!

Video instructions walked me right thru it had no problems.

Easy. Followed directions. Ice bucket is now full. I highly recommend this service (fast shipping) and instructional videos make it a cake walk.

turn power off, take the little cover on front of ice maker off so you can pull ice maker box out easier, unplug the easy connector ,after this take square cover off you'll see control motor take 3 screws off pull control motor out change new one in ,put them back together.turn power back on .then now Ice Maker will make some after 2 hours .You will SMILING then say ,Oh Yeah. The online video shortened the learning curve, and the cut the repair time in half.

I was a Sears repair man for fourty eight years , so I don"t think I should say how easy this was.

Put part on /did not see warter come at first had to go a cycal then ice again thanks alot, danny repair guy whanted 46$ to look at part. Good job.

My ice maker has been broken since august 2011. I called my son in law, which is very handy, he looked at the broken ice maker, said he had no clue how to fix it, since its computerized. Searched the internet, found part select website, watched videos, read customers feed back, based on information provided, ordered icemaker control and motor assembly (less than $60. 00), Called my son in law, in less than 10 minutes, part was installed. All of the parts are removed and install through the front of the freezer bin. Remove three screws and unplug the old one. I plugged the old wiring directly in and set the new ice maker on two of the screws for alignment, then screwed in the third screw, tightened everything. Install the arm that checks the status of the amount of ice and waited for it to fill up with ice.

My name is Tuan Nguyen. I have no ice and no water dispense into icemaker tray. I replace the the icemaker control and motor assembly. I unscrew a screw underneath the icemaker unit and disconnect the wire clip and pull out the icemaker assembly. I remover 3 screw from the motor assembly unit and replaced it with the new motor assembly. and installed the unit back in the compartment. It took about twenty min. It make me look good, that my wife knows i can fixed the problem without calling the repair men.

The comments from PartSelect were 50/50 that it would be the motor on the icemaker. We bought the motor which came 4 days leter and followed the installation instructions in the video. We started getting ice about 2 hours after the installation!
