Would not make Ice
First of all, I am a female. So anyone can do this.I simple watched your video. Made the repair very simple. I was surprised that it really worked. I couldn't understand that if the door would still eject ice, why it wouldn't make the ice. It's the same motor. Anyway, It worked and I thank you very much. Very satisfied.

Ice maker quit making ice. Water dispenser still works
I changed out the complete ice maker by first un-plugging fridge from the electrical outlet, then taking out the three screws holding the ice maker in place, unplugging electrical connector that operates the module and then removed by sliding ice maker away from fridge. Replaced old ice maker and re-plugged connector. Screwed ice maker back into place and plugged fridge back into outlet. Within 5 minutes we could hear the water dispenser filling the ice maker. Within another hour we had our first batch of ice.

Refridgerator door would not close easily.
I unloaded the door, removed the cap covering the screws at the top hinge. I removed the screws then lifted the door off the pin. Next I removed the screws holding the door cams in place. Replaced both cams and screws, set the door back on the pin then reinstalled the three screws at the top. Snapped back on the cover and I was done. Door works perfectly.

Replace ice guide
Removed ice bucket so ice would not dispense while working on ice guide. Removed damaged ice guide by prying 2 clips with a flat-head screw driver. Installed new ice guide by pushing beyond final position, lower bottom clip into position, then snap 2 side clips into place.

Ice Maker Not Making Ice
The part arrived very quickly. I set up the laptop computer on the counter and started the instruction video (THEY ARE THE BEST!). With just a few starts and stops of the video during the installation in less than 15 minutes the repair was complete! The next day I had more ice than I needed. What a fabulous way to make appliance repairs at minimal cost! I will ALWAYS use PartSelect for any future repairs. I should also tell you that a 70 year old Woman did this repair - easily! Protective cover for bulb had melted
I tried to just replace the cover rather than the whole unit but it was impossible - the cover would not go/stay on. I tried to remove the old unit completely but it would not unplug it was practically fused to the back of the fridge and the liner was cracking. I ended up breaking the cover and jerry rigging it over the bulb to prevent items in the fridge from being able to touch. Bad solution.
