Per instructions in video. Super easy. Spent 45 min. cleaning ice/water dispenser and ice maker tray. Spent 15 min. replacing ice door.

Instructions were great, and all parts included for both compressor options. Once I figured out which parts to use, it took only minutes to repair; straight plug in; no problem or modifications required. Old control device innards were rattling/shot from the move. Watched the video on the Partsselect how to remove and install the icemaker. It made the job real easy to do. It took about 20 minutes to exchange it out. It took me about a extra 30 minutes to remove the water line to the icemaker and install a in-line filter. The water froz up where it pours into the icemaker. Ran some hot water through the line, reinstalled the line and everything works great now for over a week. Just a extra tip always check the water line to make sure Its clear. George Fontana CA

Watched your installation how to video. Applied same procedure. Went smoothly.

Followed the DYI Video provided by partselect. Best advice, take a digital pic prior to disasembly, which of course I didn't! My cordless screw driver w/o the tip, is the same size as the screws thus no need for a nut driver.

I had two repair problems. #1- Ice door kit & #2 control bracket. I followed the instructional video and completed repair in under 30 minutes. I surprised myself and had a happy wife.

First I read your trouble shooting guide and determanded it was the ice maker. Then I watched your repair video which was very helpfull. I ordered the new icemaker, When it arrived I installed per video using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. IT was esay. New ice maker works great.Thank You for the information you have online and the parts and service.

Moved the refrigerator out, unscrewed old fill tube, pulled it out, placed finger-screw on water line, screwed it on, put in new fill tube, re-screwed fill tube in place, put refrigerator back into place. Done!

Removed the six screws holding the bottom access plate found at the rear of the refrigerator. This gives you easy access to the run capacitor that has a retaining clip. Remove the wire clip and pull out the capacitor (it has two quick disconnect terminals). Reverse the process using the new run capacitor to complete the repair.

Easy.... Video made replacment very smooth. I only needed one tool a nuy driver.

I saw a video of it, and simply took apart the ice maker and put the new Auger Drum in, then reassembled the ice maker.

The repair was easy. I wish I would have had a nutdriver; that would have made it extremely easy and a lot faster. I used a small wrench to take out the old ice maker. The new one went in easy. The arm was easy to move from the old ice maker to the new one, but it was a bit snug. We had to manually push the arm down a few times for the icemaker to dump the ice. After about 5 batches or so, it began to work on its own and now we have a full tub of ice (for the first time in two years). This was certainly time and money well-spent. Any one can do it!

fisrt i watched your video loosened two screws removed one removed icemaker installed new one tightened screws had ice in 2 hours i never shut the water off no need
