Water was dripping from the water dispenser at the front of the refrigerator.
I pulled the refrigerator away from the wall, unplugged the electrical cord, and turned off the water going to the refrigerator. I then removed the cover on the bottom rear of the refrigerator by removing 7 or 8 small screws. Luckily the new and old valves were exactly the same except for some color coding. There were 2 screws to remove that attached the valve to the body of the fridge. There were 3 plastic tubes that connected to the valve and 2 wiring harnesses that plugged in. Before removing them, make sure to note which tubes and wires went where. The 3 tubes on the old valve were the push in type, just like the new one. I could not pull 2 of them out like the instructions said. I had to pry them out with a screw driver. In doing so I warped about 1 inch on the end of each tube which I then cut off with a razor blade. The electrical connections pulled out easily. I then pushed each tube back into the new valve which was very easy and pushed the electrical connections in. I attached the valve to the fridge with the 2 screws, turned the water on, plugged in the electrical cord, and checked for leaks. I put the back cover on and was back in business. It took me about 40 minutes but when I was younger could have done in in half the time.

freezer was not consistent in keeping cold enough to keep itiems from defrosting. Fridge was not keeping up to temp. Noticed compressor would try to cycle but would cut out. Gave a Fonzerelli tap "ehhh" to the temp control and controls would kick on and work for short periods.
Watched the video link from the part order and the step by step instructions were as easy as the repair man showed. This is an easy do it yourself job that will fix the problem I describe with the unit. Ahhh a working freezer making and keeping ice once again.

Would not make Ice
First of all, I am a female. So anyone can do this.I simple watched your video. Made the repair very simple. I was surprised that it really worked. I couldn't understand that if the door would still eject ice, why it wouldn't make the ice. It's the same motor. Anyway, It worked and I thank you very much. Very satisfied.

Refridgerator door would not close easily.
I unloaded the door, removed the cap covering the screws at the top hinge. I removed the screws then lifted the door off the pin. Next I removed the screws holding the door cams in place. Replaced both cams and screws, set the door back on the pin then reinstalled the three screws at the top. Snapped back on the cover and I was done. Door works perfectly.
