Remove drip pan from indoor ice dispensing system remove to bottom screws holding dispenser faceplate .lift faceplate out of the way exposing the bracket and ice and water dispenser micro switches be careful in removing microswitch, the one I removed came apart and had a little difficulty putting it back together ,used super glue and fix that problem. No instructions came with bracket so take your time. This is a relatively simple job any one should be able to do it.

My ice make had stopped working and I thought it was a water connection issue, however, after removing the motor cover, the plastic gear just fell to the floor. I wrote down the model number and looked the part up online. I ordered the part and it arrived a few days later. Three screws and a new motor and I had a working ice maker. Great experience.

I did it a bit different from instructions mainly because I disassembled it to troubleshoot before going on line to find part and "easier" instructions.I had a 5" block of wood and cut a shim to use with that to hold the door up. I got on my hands and knees with a mirror and removed the lower hinge plate then the screws holding the upper and lower cams. These both were quite worn so I just took them to my shop and with a hand grinder I rounded off the sharpo corners of the cogs of both cams and then reassemble the hinge plate and cams. This eliminated the loud clicking and the door closed easily but I was afraid it woulod not "Auto Close" when needed so I went online to find this page with the parts needed along with wonderful instructions. I ordered both upper and lower cams which came 2 days later (THANKS). I installed them my way since I did not want to empty the door contents and remove the whole door. I used the block, mirror and nut driver to R&R the bottom hinge plate and both cams. Time was still less than 15 minutes, Easy Fix, Thanks guys! Cheers, Ben

Ordered replacement parts from Parts Select on Sunday and the parts were delivered to my home on Wednesday . Could not be happier with this company. The repair video indicated the removal of the entire ice maker when replacing the motor unit that I had ordered. Since I was replacing only the motor unit, located immediately to the front of the ice maker, made visible after removing the snap on cover, I chose not to remove the total unit and removed the old motor unit with the new one ordered and was successful with no further problems. I did turn the water off and disconnected the electrical plug of the fridge first. Three screws removed and replaced and done.

My ice machine stopped making ice I noticed the little dial under the cover stopped turning, so I bought the replacement part. It arrived three days later I un screwed the old one, and put the new in place and screwed it on the only little thing you might need to know is that the metal lever arm that moves up and down is attached to a plastic grommet with a two prong release that protrudes through the hole on the front of the assembly to release the old one just pinch them together. My ice machine works great now it was a very easy part to replace no need to call a repair service anyone with a screwdriver can replace this part

Per instructions in video. Super easy. Spent 45 min. cleaning ice/water dispenser and ice maker tray. Spent 15 min. replacing ice door.

There were excellent entries on the net of how to diagnose problem. Parts Select website had an excellent video on how to change part. Just followed instructions and changed parts in about 15 minutes. I am usually a klutz, but this was so easy

I had two repair problems. #1- Ice door kit & #2 control bracket. I followed the instructional video and completed repair in under 30 minutes. I surprised myself and had a happy wife.

The hard part of the repair was getting the wife to empty the refrigerator door shelves. Once that was done simply removed the three screws on the door on the top of the door removed the bottom cam located on the bottom inside of the door. One of the simplest repairs I've ever done. Watching the you-tube video was a great help.

Removed outer cover. Removed control bracket which holds the water/ice dispenser paddles. Removed paddles from old/broken bracket, plastic pins were broken where the paddles hinge. Placed on new bracket placed screws and it was done. Very simple repair. Part cost less then $18.00 including shipping. Saved me mucho dollars!!!!

hardest part getting the putty knife in right place to pop off cover---found the plastic bracket was broken where the switch was held in place---- so ordered new switches and bracket ---- got the parts in 3 days--good service--easy job 2 do and saved lots of $$$$$$$$---

After determining the control boards weren't working (by the light was not working) I replaced the control boards. By the way I received the parts in only a day and a half.It only took about 15 mins. The parts came with a troubleshooting guide witch was a little difficult to understand, but I got through it. The new parts were working but still not making ice. The water line had frozen. My wife and I took a meat injector as a syringe and injected hot water in the line and a air compressor I have and blew air into it also. It works again. As a tip try to blow air into the water line with your mouth to see if its clear.
