Ice maker will not make ice, the water does work on the door
Replaced the Electronic control boards first, emitter and receiver, and that did not fix the problem. I then order the Control board/motor assembly in the ice maker, this did fix the problem and after a couple of hours I had ice. The repair was easy and the videos on the web site show you step by step.

Ice would not come through
During our blackout the ice melted down the rod so it would not turn to release the ice to drop into your glass because of the water so we replaced the bottom portion of the ice maker which is on the inside of door under ice container and everything works great now. This happen before because of blackout and ice melted and ruin the and rusted the release

ice maker stopped making ice
Originally ordered parts I thought would fix ice maker. When I took apart the icemaker assembly I noticed and found the actual part that went bad. Called customer service and was able to return the parts I thought would fix the ice maker, without any problems. I ordered the correct part on the same call. Within a day or so the new part arrived and was installed within 15 minutes. Thanks to the instructions & comments posted on the "Instant Repairman" link. Awesome customer service that can not be bet.

Icemaker stopped making ice
Checked the hose above the icemaker to see if water was frozen. Ran the freezer at a lower temp to see if lines would unfreeze. Took a wild guess that a component was broken in the icemaker, but it was cheaper to get the entire assembly anyways. Removed about 4 screws under icemaker, disconnected icemaker, jiggled and slid the icemaker and tray out, traded out icemaker assemblies, and put it all back, probably took 10-15 mins, and it made ice again!

The ice maker failed
The helpful Partselect video showed a slightly different model, as my icemaker uses optics instead of a bail for shutting off the icemaker. I ordered new optics based on a a customer description that, if the light on the right hand side of the freezer door jamb was blinking 2 flashes followed by a pause,it indicated that the optics were faulty, so I ordered and replaced them. This did not solve my problem. Then on-line I found further information that said I should close the flapper on the left side, and if the light was steady (which it was) the optics were OK. I then ordered the motor unit. I unscrewed the single screw under the right hand side of the track with a 1/4" nut driver, but found that sliding out the ice maker involved a little wiggling and prying, and, because it was awkward to disconnect the electrical connection, I found that it was not necessary to disconnect it. Then, after removing the end cap, it was a straight forward process to replace the motor, while adjusting the shaft to line up. Then, reverse all procedures and I now have ice. Success!

Ice maker quite making ice.
We followed the video which was a great help. The only difficulty we had is the black rubber tube (water fill tube) was hard to get into the new ice maker. But finally got it. The new icemaker works wonderful! No more buying ice!

Ice maker stopped producing ice.
I researched my problem online and watched a video of a ice maker installation before I attempted my repair. I ordered the part at 11am Thursday morning and the part arrived at 10am Friday morning via Fed Express. First, I removed the bracket the was holding the ice maker in place. Second, I slide the ice maker out. Then I disconnected the old ice maker. Next I used a screwdriver to remover 3 screws for the plastic housing, since it was need for the new ice maker. I plug it in and put the bracket back in place. I went out for a couple of hours. I returned home and ran to the freezer.I open it and I found ice cubes. I was finally able to throw out my ice cube trays. Boy I hate them!!! Don't fear this repair it's simple and very cheap. I saved roughly $160.00 by doing it myself. I will use this company again since they were great
