Ice Maker Did Not Make Ice
Removed a total of 12 screws, unplugged the control boards, plugged-in the new control boards and replaced the 12 screws. The FAQs section of the PartSelect troubleshooting guide helped me correctly identify the control boards as the source of the problem. The LED sequence was the key to identifying the problem.

Icemaker stopped working
First, I went online and looked up the directions to remove the ice maker. After several attempts of removing and re-installing it, I found that one of the tines on the wheel had broken of making it impossible for the ice to dispense. I went online to PartSelect, found the exact part I needed, not the new replacement one either, and watched the proper installation directions on the website. When the part came, I did exactly what the video said, which took me maybe 10 minutes, and plugged the fridge back in - make sure you unplug the refrigerator - don't just shut it off!! I heard the water going into the maker, and about 30 minutes later I heard the first batch of ice fall into the bucket!!! It was music to my ears!!!! Oh, and by ordering from PartSelect and doing this simple repair myself, I saved $150.00!! PartSelect is now my new best friend!!!

Installing new "wiper" at bottom of ice in-door ice dispenser
The plastic "wiper" attached to the bottom of the ice "auger" in the ice dispenser unit broke. (It was made from a plastic that was not up to the freezing temps and heavy ice loads it had to move.) The new unit seemed to be of a different type of nylon/plastic. Problem was that the small machine screw at the bottom of the auger assembly could not be removed because of corrosion. I had to drill it out. Choices then were to purchase a new auger for about 60 bucks or reassemble the unit with a new 6-32 machine screw. There will not be enough metal left to allow it to be tapped so simply clean it out well and glue in the new screw with JB Weld. Allow to cure over night and you're back in business. Ours works fine so far. Good luck!

Ice maker motor gear broken
My ice make had stopped working and I thought it was a water connection issue, however, after removing the motor cover, the plastic gear just fell to the floor. I wrote down the model number and looked the part up online. I ordered the part and it arrived a few days later. Three screws and a new motor and I had a working ice maker. Great experience.

The old condenser fan was rattling and driving everyone nutts.
I surfed partselect and read that a reader had a similar problem with a rattling fan. I then removed the back panel, after I had unplugged the unit, and was able to feel the slop in the fan shaft. I then watched the video of how to replace the fan and ordered the part soon after. The part arrived 3 days later! Easy to do. I was finished in 12 minutes and the fridge runs silently. The part of the job that took the longest was vaccuming the undercarriage. There was alot of dust! Couldn't have helped the efficiency on the fridge. Keep it clean.

ice maker did not work
The repair video indicated the removal of the entire ice maker when replacing the motor unit that I had ordered. Since I was replacing only the motor unit, located immediately to the front of the ice maker, made visible after removing the snap on cover, I chose not to remove the total unit and removed the old motor unit with the new one ordered and was successful with no further problems. I did turn the water off and disconnected the electrical plug of the fridge first. Three screws removed and replaced and done.

my ice machine stopped working
My ice machine stopped making ice I noticed the little dial under the cover stopped turning, so I bought the replacement part. It arrived three days later I un screwed the old one, and put the new in place and screwed it on the only little thing you might need to know is that the metal lever arm that moves up and down is attached to a plastic grommet with a two prong release that protrudes through the hole on the front of the assembly to release the old one just pinch them together. My ice machine works great now it was a very easy part to replace no need to call a repair service anyone with a screwdriver can replace this part

Ice Maker not working
There were excellent entries on the net of how to diagnose problem. Parts Select website had an excellent video on how to change part. Just followed instructions and changed parts in about 15 minutes. I am usually a klutz, but this was so easy

The icemaker would occasionally dump the ice in the tray. I could unfrost the tray and then it would seem to work for a couple of times and then stop again.
I removed the old icemaker and tore it apart as much as I could to see if I could see anything obvious. I also took a resistance reading on the heating coil in the bottom of the icemaker. It was good. I then hooked the old icemaker back up with the end cover off. The plastic wheel on the end of the ice maker did not move. I then ordered a new ice maker, installed it and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Light switch which turns on the lights when the door opens went out
This is an easy fix, simply remove and replace. What I was impressed with is that a how to video was provided along with my part. I wish all manufactures would offer this, the video was easy to understand and you had a good view of the operation. Thanks, a job well done.

ice maker stopped making ice
After determining the control boards weren't working (by the light was not working) I replaced the control boards. By the way I received the parts in only a day and a half.It only took about 15 mins. The parts came with a troubleshooting guide witch was a little difficult to understand, but I got through it. The new parts were working but still not making ice. The water line had frozen. My wife and I took a meat injector as a syringe and injected hot water in the line and a air compressor I have and blew air into it also. It works again. As a tip try to blow air into the water line with your mouth to see if its clear.

Was not making ice cubes
I followed the easy to follow video instructions posted on the same web page I used to order the icemaker. I chose to order the complete icemaker rather than the motor assembly because based on price, ease of installation, and the chance something else could fail in the icemaker unit I preferred to order and install the complete assembly. PartSelect was a great web site to use to purchase appliance parts and get instructions. Didn't think companies did this any more. Great!
