The micro wave oven is built in. In order to install the trim, the micro wave needed to be pulled out from the cabinet by about 6 inches in order to access the bottom screws on the microwave that secures the bottom trim. The micro wave is secured to the cabinet by 4 phillips head screws that require removal in order to slide the micro wave out of the cabinet. It is not necessary to remove the entire micro wave oven from the cabinet. There are three phillips head screws that require removal in order to secure the trim piece in place. Once the bottom trim is installed, simply slide the microwave back into the cabinet and secure it in place with the 4 screws removed earlier.
