Turned off electric power at the breaker to the appliance. Using a phillips head screw driver, unscrewed element plate from back of oven. Pulled off the leads and removed the broken element. Wiped off white residue in oven from broken element. Connected new element to leads. Screwed plate to back of oven. Turned on power and tested. Oven worked perfectly.
