Oven would not shut off It would just keep heating

Turned off breaker, unplugged range, removed back panel and the 4 screws, 3 wires and 1 connector that were attached to the Electronic Clock Control switched out the old unit with the new unit using the original cover plate that I had to peel off the old unit carefully as not to damage it. Replaced the 4 screws 3 wires and 1 connector put the back panel on range plugged range back up turned on breaker. Set clock on range and cooked dinner for the 1st time in 2 weeks.
