First I unplugged the fridge. After that, I removed all the racks and the one drawer in the freezer. Then removed the back panel inside of the freezer. I left it to thaw overnight with the door open. I came back to it the next morning and removed the two defrost element mounting screws. After that I unplugged the two leads from their plugs. I then moved the lead on the left side of the evaporator core to the right side. Then I reinstalled the new defrost element and finished up the installation by putting the fridge back together in the reverse order that I took it apart.
