The bake element burned in half
Quite easy: Removed the two hex head screws with a 1/4 inch nut driver. Gently pulled the old element out of the rear of the range with the connectors still attached. Next I disconnected the connectors from the element and attached a small "paper binder" clip to each of the connector wires to keep the connectors from pulling back through
... Read morethe "Hole". Lastly, I connected the two connectors to the new element (released the clips) and gently pushed the unit back into place and re-secured the hex screws. ALL DONE! Very very easy....

Oven Element Burned Out
Remove screws from back of oven after unplugging oven. disconnect wires from element by sliding of element. Remove screws holding element inside oven and slide element out. Replace element by doing everything in reverse. 20 minutes tops.

bottom oven element burned out
repair was exceptionally easy. Did not need the fiberglass tape that was mentioned in online repair steps. Just slipped the wires off and then back on the new element. Any 70 year old can do.

Baking element burned through
We removed the old element by removing the screws that attach it to the back of the oven. (make sure to secure the part that plugs into the actual element so that it won't pull into the back of the oven, we used clips to hold it). We removed the old element and placed the new one in position. Pushed the plugs into the element and screwed
... Read more the element into place. In our case, we had to also order the clock portion of the stove, as the arcing of the element when it burned out, fried the circuit. So we ordered a new clock. It was also simple to do. It is one unit and we simply removed the old clock, writing down where each colored wire went, and put in the new one, attaching the colored wires. Works like new! We received our parts in 1 day! I priced the repair with an appliance repair service, and figure we saved ourselves @ $150. The parts themselves were $10-$30 cheaper than the repairman quoted us to repair.

I replaced part # 316415900 and my oven is still reading 8 and none of the buttons work.What should I do?

Hi Kevin, Thank you for the question. The manufacturer has assigned F8 error code to indicate a problem with the Oven Door Latch Motor and Switch. Try to unplug the appliance for about 10 minutes, if code returns check for mechanical issues with the latch, such as the latch arm pivot joint, rod, lever arm and spring. If those check out good, test the door latch switches for continuity and check the wiring to the switches. If you do not find the problem, you should replace the entire Oven Door Latch Motor and Switch.PartSelect Number: PS1528424. Hope this helps!
Would I be able to install the new heating element for inside the stove at the bottom without having to move the stove or removing the back panel as indicated in the video ?

Hi Richard, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched your model and found that you can install the bake element without removing the back panel. In case one of the wires gets retracted into the opening at the bottom, you will need to remove the lower back panel to gain access to the wire terminals. We hope this helps!

How can i test the old element once i have removed it from oven

Hello Eric, thank you for your question. Using the ohmmeter, set the range scale on R x 1 and place the probes on the element terminals. There should be continuity, with readings ranging from 19 to 115 ohms. Readings will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and according to unit size and the wattage. Good luck with your repair!

My stove is showing an f10 code and the bake element is not on whatelse other than obvious could the code mean

Hello Tony, thank you for your question. The F10 code indicates there is an issue with the temperature sensor or the board. We would recommend testing the sensor, PartSelect Number: PS1528543. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If that part is tested and is fine, the electronic board would have to be replaced.
