Freezer will freeze up and I have to thaw it out manually. I have replaced the door seal and the thermistor 4 years ago. Had been fine until the last 2 months and has acted up about 3 times. Fan is running when it does work, it maintains 39 / 0 degrees usually.

Hi Steve, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest that you make sure the door is not left open for longer intervals. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the door gasket for any damage since it might not be sealing the freezer door properly and allowing warm air to enter the freezer compartment, which in turn results in ice buildup. If the issue persists, then you may need to check the defrost thermostat, part number PS2378768, as it is most likely faulty. We hope this helps!

Test the light socket first with a bulb that you know is good. If the light still does not come on, unplug the refrigerator, remove the switch by inserting a very small, thin, flathead screwdriver alongside it and pull the switch out slowly with your other hand.
