Powermate Air Cleaner Element

1 Review
PartSelect Number PS10039827
Manufacturer Part Number A100631
This foam air cleaner element helps to keep dirt and debris out of the engine in your lawn equipment. It is sometimes called an air filter element, cartridge, or insert. You can find it near the engine in a housing that lets air into the combustion chamber, where it gets mixed with fuel. This fuel-air mixture produces energy that powers the engine when it is ignited by the spark plug. If the element gets dirty or clogged, you will need to replace it. If you do not replace it, you may notice black smoke coming out of your machine. Your engine will work poorly and might use more gas than it should. To remove your element, refer to your user manual for instructions, as the steps may vary from one model to another. Generally, you need to locate the element housing and remove the screws or clips that hold its cover in place. You can then carefully remove the element from inside. This genuine OEM replacement part is sold individually.

I replaced the carburetor, air filter, cleaned out the gas tan and replaced the fuel line and filter. As a last resort I replaced the gas cap and gas still will not flow from the gas tank to the carburetor. I have worked on engines of all sizes over the years and this one has me stumped.....by the way I am 71 years old:) If anyone has an idea please le me know. Read more...

Powermate Recoil Starter Assembly
★★★★★
★★★★★
1 Review
PartSelect Number PS10041100
Manufacturer Part Number A200783
This recoil starter assembly is supplied by the original manufacturer for use in tillers. It includes a plastic starter housing, metal mounting plate, starter pulley with recoil springs, grip handle, pull rope, and fasteners. When the starter rope/cord is pulled, the crankshaft rotates, and this begins the combustion process that allows the engine to run. If the starter assembly is not engaging or you have difficulties with pulling and retracting the rope rope, the most likely causes are a worn-down rope, damaged housing, or broken recoil spring. Loosen and remove the fasteners that hold the assembly to the engine. Pull off the assembly and position the new one in its place. Secure the assembly to the engine and test your equipment by pulling the rope to check that it can engage and start the equipment.

Powermate Air Cleaner Element
PartSelect Number PS10040209
Manufacturer Part Number A101172
This authentic OEM air cleaner element, also known as an air filter, includes one paper filter surrounded by a foam pre-cleaner for use in a variety of outdoor power equipment. The foam pre-cleaner acts as the first protective barrier and traps larger particles to prevent them from clogging or tearing the paper filter. However, it is normal for the air filter to become clogged or torn due over time, due to accumulated dirt and debris, or due to prolonged use without replacement. A faulty air cleaner will result in poor engine performance, rough idling, hard starting, stalling, and increased fuel consumption. It is recommended to replace your air filter every 3-6 months for optimal performance. You can find the air cleaner housing near the carburetor or air intake on your equipment. Detach the housing cover and remove the faulty filter. Clean the housing and place the new air cleaner in position. Reattach the air cleaner cover to complete your repair.

Powermate Drag Stake
PartSelect Number PS10041062
Manufacturer Part Number A200745
This drag stake, also known as a drag bar or drag shoe, is a genuine OEM replacement part used in tillers and cultivators. It is a metal bar with a pointed end, measuring 7 3/4 inches in length and 1 inch in width. The drag stake is responsible for helping to control the depth and direction of the machinery during use. It digs into the ground and provides resistance when the equipment is moving forward, which allows the tines/blades to effectively penetrate the soil. The drag stake can fail due to excessive wear, mechanical damage, or improper installation. A faulty drag stake will result in erratic and unstable movement, overspeeding, and inadequate weed and debris removal. Remove the fasteners that secure the drag stake to the equipment and slide it off. Slide out the old drag stake: Once the retaining hardware is removed, slide out the old drag stake from its mounting point. Align the new stake with the attachment points and reinstall the fasteners to secure it in place.
