Powermate Edger Air Cleaner Element

PartSelect Number PS10039827
Manufacturer Part Number A100631
This foam air cleaner element helps to keep dirt and debris out of the engine in your lawn equipment. It is sometimes called an air filter element, cartridge, or insert. You can find it near the engine in a housing that lets air into the combustion chamber, where it gets mixed with fuel. This fuel-air mixture produces energy that powers the engine when it is ignited by the spark plug. If the element gets dirty or clogged, you will need to replace it. If you do not replace it, you may notice black smoke coming out of your machine. Your engine will work poorly and might use more gas than it should. To remove your element, refer to your user manual for instructions, as the steps may vary from one model to another. Generally, you need to locate the element housing and remove the screws or clips that hold its cover in place. You can then carefully remove the element from inside. This genuine OEM replacement part is sold individually.

edger will not run longer than 1 minute
I replaced the carburetor, air filter, cleaned out the gas tan and replaced the fuel line and filter. As a last resort I replaced the gas cap and gas still will not flow from the gas tank to the carburetor. I have worked on engines of all sizes over the years and this one has me stumped.....by the way I am 71 years old:) If anyone has an idea please le me know. Read more...

Powermate Edger Air Cleaner Element
PartSelect Number PS10040209
Manufacturer Part Number A101172
This authentic OEM air cleaner element, also known as an air filter, includes one paper filter surrounded by a foam pre-cleaner for use in a variety of outdoor power equipment. The foam pre-cleaner acts as the first protective barrier and traps larger particles to prevent them from clogging or tearing the paper filter. However, it is normal for the air filter to become clogged or torn due over time, due to accumulated dirt and debris, or due to prolonged use without replacement. A faulty air cleaner will result in poor engine performance, rough idling, hard starting, stalling, and increased fuel consumption. It is recommended to replace your air filter every 3-6 months for optimal performance. You can find the air cleaner housing near the carburetor or air intake on your equipment. Detach the housing cover and remove the faulty filter. Clean the housing and place the new air cleaner in position. Reattach the air cleaner cover to complete your repair.

Powermate Edger Blade, Earth

PartSelect Number PS10041201
Manufacturer Part Number A201181
This blade is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in earth augers. It is a cutting attachment made of metal, measuring approximately 3.7 inches by 2 inches. It is found at the end of the auger assembly where it is responsible for cutting into the ground. It is normal for the blade to wear down and become dull. A dull blade will not be able to cut through the soil effectively, leading to slower performance and decreased precision. The blade may also bend or break if it accidentally impacts hard objects. This presents a safety risk as the blade may dislodge while in use. Remove the fasteners which hold the old blade in place and pull off the blade. You may need to detach the auger bit to access the blade. Align the new blade with the auger shaft and secure it in position.

Powermate Edger Air Cleaner Gasket
PartSelect Number PS10039823
Manufacturer Part Number A100627
This OEM-approved air cleaner gasket creates a seal between the air cleaner housing and the carburetor in your lawn and garden equipment. It makes sure that only clean air enters the engine for combustion. Over time, the gasket wears out. It may appear cracked, flattened, or distorted. You need to replace a damaged gasket. Otherwise, air leaks can happen, and debris and contaminants can enter the engine. This leads to reduced engine efficiency, rough running, and even engine stalling. If you are replacing your gasket, remove the spark plug first. You then need to access the air cleaner housing by removing its cover with a screwdriver. You can then peel off the gasket from the housing. This replacement part is sold individually.

Powermate Edger Fuel Line Fitting / Filter
PartSelect Number PS10040226
Manufacturer Part Number A101191
This genuine OEM fuel line fitting or filter in your lawn equipment ensures clean fuel flow from the tank to the engine in your lawn equipment. It effectively removes debris and impurities, safeguarding the engine from potential damage. Typically located along the fuel line, it is close to the fuel tank or engine. You can tell if it is broken or clogged if there are signs of fuel leakage, reduced fuel flow, or if the engine fails to start or run smoothly. If the fuel line fitting or filter is not replaced, it can lead to poor engine performance, fuel starvation, and potential damage to the engine components. To remove it, you will need a screwdriver, pliers, and a socket set. Disconnect the fuel hose from the carburetor, drain the tank, and unbolt the fuel tank. Then, detach the fuel line and use a socket to remove the fitting. Remember, this replacement part is sold separately from the rest of the fuel line assembly.
