Hello Joe, Thank you for the question. This could indicate the Gasket on the door is worn and needs to be replaced. We suggest checking the gasket for wear or damage and make sure it has a proper seal all the way around the door. If the Gasket is good, the Strip may not be sealing properly and need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
The ice maker has started unexpectedly dispensing ice. The interior switch is on the "off" position which should have deactivated the ice maker, but the problem continues. It is acting like the "crushed ice" button is depressed but will unexpectedly start dispensing ice when no one is in the room. I'd be happy if the ice maker was simply deactivated. Please advise.

Hello Charles, thank you for contacting us. Please make sure that the quick ice feature is not ON. You can turn off this feature from the controls. According to our research, the issue is probably with the ice maker PCB, part number PS8728423. It manages the functions of the icemaker such as water fill and ice harvest cycles. To deactivate the ice maker, locate the on/off switch behind the ice maker and turn it off. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. If the temperature inside the appliance is at a normal setting and the water fill tube that fills the Ice Maker is not froze over, we suggest checking the Water Filter. If it has not been replaced within 6 months it should be replaced. It can slow the water flow and cause the water entering the ice maker to be fill slowly and freeze over before it can be dispensed. We hope this helps!
I mistakenly ordered the wrong part number online and the filter was too big. I called Part Select and the gentleman knew the correct part number and sent it. I also received directions for returning the incorrect part.
