Door was making a popping sound when opened and closed
Unscrewd the top hinge cove and removed two bolts from the hinge, lifted door off of the bottom hinge and laid the whole door on the floor using a beach towel to protect it from scratches. Manufacturer Part Number 240457702
This is the door closer plate or closure cam for your refrigerator. If your refrigerator door is hard to open or close, does not seal well, or there is a popping sound when opening the door, you will need to replace the door closer plate. You can find the closer plate at the bottom of the door, and you will need to remove the door to replace it. With the door off, simply unscrew the retaining screw for the old closer plate, remove the plate itself and then re-tighten the retaining screw. Re-install the door and your repair is complete.

The ice dispenser would only dispense crushed ice, Fridge door cluncked when opening and closing
For the ice dispenser, I read a blog that pointed me right to the solenoid that controls the linkage for the crushed /cubed ice.I first unplugged the fridge. Then removed the ice maker basket. Removed 2 ea screws from each side of the supports of the lower brackets. Then lifted the tray assy off the mounting bracket, moving the front of the bracket down you can then unhook the power/control connector.
The tray then comes right out. Once out you remove two screws that hold a plastic plate on. With this removed you can see the solenoid that actuates the linkage for the ice cube and crushed ice. You then remove 2 ea machine screws that hold the solenoid in. Remove grd. wire. and pull power wires off tabs. You can then remove the solenoid by sliding it out of the plastic retainer. With it out you install the new plunger and reassemble in the reverse order. 15 mins tops.

The main Refidgerator door, made a cluncking sound. Lube didn't help. I removed the door by removing the top screw from the plastic cover, then slide it forward, then remove the two screws that hold the hinge on and then lifting the door off, once off the lower nylon hinge bearing comes right out of the door, the plate is removed with a screw driver. Installed in reverse order and cluncking was gone. 10 mins

Door sagging, creating a gap to let in condensation
You tube is my best friend for DIY repair. I supported the door with wood blocks, removed the bottom bracket and was able to slide the refrigerator door down and out without removing the freezer door. Replaced both hinge bearings and door stop and washer on bottom hinge and slid the door back into place. Door is very light when empty. Fast and easy, door opens and closes smoothly and no problem with condensation anymore. Read more...

Clicking of refrigerator door
This was a very easy fix. I first ordered the cam only and installed it. That was not the problem. I then ordered the hinge bearing and installed it. That was the problem. Both times I installed an item it took about 10 minutes. Watch the video and follow the instructions. My advice to you if you have a clicking of your door order both the cam and hinge bearing and replace both. The items are not expensive. Read more...
