Customers rate the installation difficulty as Medium. This part provides a seal around the crank shaft and engine block. When installing onto the engine block around the crank shaft, use something that makes contact around the entire seal, like a large socket or pipe, and tap into place evenly, ensuring that the housing is clean and dry. Toro Lawn Tractor Seal-O Ring
★★★★★

1 Review
PartSelect Number PS9294749
Manufacturer Part Number 691917
The Seal-O Ring, also known as the gasket, is red in color, made of rubber, and is an OEM part that requires some skill to replace. This part is designed to create a seal between the carburator and manifold, to prevent air from entering. If your engine loses power, creates a hissing noise, or if the gasket appears damaged or your engine running improperly it may be time to replace the part. If you run the engine and spray the outside of the carburator with soapy water, you can test whether or not the gasket is leaking by listening to the sounds produced. If the sound smooths out then you've found your leaky gasket. Damage may occur over time, especially if the part dries out, and make the part appear stretched or worn out. When making this medium-difficulty repair, make sure the new gasket is fitted properly between the carburetor and intake manifold.
