Bottom element burned (flamed) out.
The instruction video for part #125501871 bottom element shows an oven and element different than the Frigidaire. You have to remove the fan shroud (three screws) in order to access the two element screws. The element has connections at the ends of the prongs that turn up at a 90-degree angle. Caution: To avoid pulling insulation out, til
... Read moret the old element up and gently pull it down and out just far enough to see the slipon connections. They're tight. I twisted a screwdriver under them to loosen. Next, you push the connectors onto the new element using needle nose pliers. Tilt the element up, push it in and down, make sure it's level, and screw it tight. Reinstall shroud.

How much ac voltage needs to enter the lower 2300 watt heating element from the connections in the oven ? I am only getting a reading of 43 volts with a multi meter? I was expecting 115 + \ - ? The oven takes forever to reach the preheat temp. .?
For model number FEB27S5ASB
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your question. Your element should be showing a range between 0 - 50 ohms. That would mean that it is working correctly. You may want to also check your temperature sensor. It could be that part is not working correctly. You can test it the same way as testing your bake element. Good luck with your repair.

On replacing the bottom element (serial no. Nf91 715699): I couldn't see how you disconnected and then reconnected the wires. Do they just pull apart or is there a screw together connection? Thank you.
For model number FEB786CESG
Hello Robert, thank you for your question. There is an installation video on our site on how to put this in. Here is the link. https://www.partselect.com/PS978771-Frigidaire-318255100-Bake-Element-2300W.htm?SourceCode=4&SearchTerm=FEB786CESG&ModelNum=FEB786CESG. The wires would simply be pulled off the element. Be careful to not pull the connector off of the wire. The whole connector comes off the element then the connector slides over the new element ends. I hope this helps!

DOES TEMP. PROBE CONTROL THE BAKE ELEMENT?
For model number GLEB27S7CBB
Hello John, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, the temperature probe in your wall oven indirectly controls the bake element by communicating with the control board, which cycles the element on and off to reach and maintain the set temperature. We hope this helps.
