Replaced igniter oven works fine but noticed oven is off but small amount of gas flowing through burner not sure which part i need or is problem the new igniter

The igniter seems to work fine on my stove however, the oven will not turn on until i tap the side of the safety valve. In this case would you say the igniter is weak or the safety valve needs to be replaced?
