Hello Michael, Thank you for the question. Once you remove the shelf from the appliance you will need to turn it over and lay it on a flat surface. To remove the rail you will need two flat head screw drivers. Slide the rail to one side. At one end of the rail there is a circular piece where the rail is connected on both the top and bottom. Wedge the screwdriver between the top of the circle and the rail and wedge the other screwdriver between the bottom part. Twist the screwdrivers just enough to lift the center pieces out of the hole and slide the rail in the opposite direction as it was originally slid when you started the repair. Flip the shelf over face up and lift the front of the rail as you lower the rail out of the Shelf Frame. We hope this helps and Good luck with the repair!
