Washer wouldn't spin the water out of the clothes.
I wasn't sure what the problem was. I Googled the most common problem for this washer and it pointed to the Lid Switch with Wire Harness. I ordered the part, watched the video provided, and installed it. Installation was just like the video said. Due to the lack of dexterity in my hands due to arthritis, it took about 25 minutes from start to finish. Washer works like new now.

Washer wouldn't spin
Removed front panel, cut two wires to switch ( color coded ) snapped old switch out and installed new switch, connected wires with wire nuts. Removed two screws in lid, removed magnet and installed the new one. A caveman could do it!

Washer won't fill, spin, or anything. Press start and get 3 beeps (like lid is open) - if it was the switch and/or magnet - would it not fill, agitate or drain? Could it go bad in the middle of a cycle - before spinning clothes out?

Hi Patty, Thank you for your question. The lid switch is an important part of the washer. If it is not working correctly, it can cause other functions of the washer not to work. You will need to check it with a multimeter to verify if it is working correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My washer starts to fill and shuts off 6 or 7 times before cycle stars to wash. I have to keep pushing the start button each time. My thoughts are the lid switch, I keep the Auto load sensing on all the time, another I have is maybe this had something to do with my problem

Hi Kevin, thank you for asking. You may need to check the electronic control board, part number PS8757105, to fix the issue. It houses all the controls and manages the washer's functions such as filling, washing, draining, and spinning. If the on/off button is malfunctioning, then the board may be faulty and needs to be replaced. We hope this sorts out your problem!

I have a problem with the washing machine not agitating or spinning but pumps and drains water correctly. I have reset it. I have replaced the lid switch (WH12X10334) and the mode shifter and shaft assembly (WH38X10017). The drive belt and drive pulley are fine. No unusual noises. No leaks. The drive motor led was blinking 4 flashes and a pause which seemed to indicate WH38X10017 needed to be replaced and I did, but it is still blinking 4 flashes and a pause. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi George, Thank you for your question. If you have tried all of these methods and the washer is still not agitating or spinning, then you will need to check the user control and display board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My washer fills and empties but does not agitate or spin out
For model number WWSE5240G2WW

Hi Maria, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check for this issue. The physical parts to check for wear and tear would be your belt, tub bearing, the inner tub base hub, and your hub nut. If those parts are fine then you should take a look at your lid switch for being the issue. That part will not allow your appliance to spin if it is malfunctioning. If that part is fine then you may need to look at your shifter assembly or your motor. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
