The screen in the bottom of our dishwasher has a gray gasket around it that is broken. Can I get just the gasket? I could not find it listed. Does this screen come with a new gasket? Thank you.
For model number PDWT380R10SS

Hi Christine, Thank you for the question. The filter no longer requires or includes a gasket, but may require a silicone or sealant when installed. Hope this helps!

GE profile dishwasher (pdwt380r10ss). The gasket around the coarse food filter (part #wd22x10038) is disintegrating. I am unable to locate this gasket part. Does it come with the filter? It is not shown at all on the exploded view parts diagram. Thanks!
For model number PDWT380R10SS

Hi Tim,
Thank you for the question. The only way to replace the gasket is to replace the screen, Part Number: PS959277. With the new part, a gasket is no longer required. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is there an installation video for replacing this part wd22x10076

Hi Matt, Thank you for your question. Please make sure to disconnect the power from your appliance before starting any repair.
1. Remove the lower dishrack from the appliance by rolling it all the way out.
2. To remove the lower wash arm, lift up on the arm and turn it counter clockwise. This should disconnect the arm from the base.
3. To remove the nut you will turn it counter clockwise to release it.
4. Remove the accumulator/filter by lifting it up out of place.
5. You will then have to disconnect the water tube. There is a little tab at the rim where it connects with the base. Just push that down with the help of a flat head screw driver and that should release the tube from the base. Turn the tube and base toward the left to separate them from each other.
6. Now we are going to take the sump cover off just by squeezing it and lifting it out of place.
7. To remove the sump filter you will need a putty knife and your flat head screwdriver. This part is a little difficult as there are locking tabs on each side of the sump filter and you have to use both your putty knife and screw driver to release them both at the same time. The easiest way to try and do this is by sticking your putty knife through the gap at the top of the sumper filter between the filter and the course filter. Push it down until it touches the bottom of the dishwasher. Then, lifting the course filter from the front, use your screw driver to reach in and depress the locking tabs on the other side of the sump filter.
8. Once you have the sump filter out then remove the rest of the base by unscrewing it counter clockwise. Then you should simply be able to lift out your course filter and change it out for the new one. Follow these steps backwards to reinstall your parts. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

If the gasket is no longer available or used on the coarse filter. Does the original filter work fine without the gasket? Can i remove the damaged gasket and leave the filter alone?
For model number GDWF160R10SS

Hi Norman,
Thank you for your question. Where the gasket is no longer needed, it may require a silicone or sealant when installed. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Easy to install - works just like it should - even better than the original!
This is a metal part - which is superior to the original plastic. It won’t warp with heat. I watched a video to see how to install it. It suggested a screwdriver. I didn’t need it....or any tools. I broke a part of a flange on another part because I was going too fast, but thankfully, that didn’t affect operation of the machine at all. I was also able to clean out the sump piece while I was in there. That only took an extra minute. Works much better now!
