The Adjustable Gib (Keyway) is a gray, metal, 2 inch, individually sold part rated as easy to install by consumers. It locks two shafts together so they can rotate. You will know if you need to replace this part if the shaft is freely spinning and will not spin with the drive shaft. You can see this happening when the shaft is turning, or you can turn the shaft by hand to see if the two parts connect. The part is attached between the two shafts.
