Are these rods same length do they come 2 per pack,,can steel rods be used in place of aluminum?
For model number 441777 0116E1
Hello Bobby, thank you for the great question. Yes, both the push rods are of the same length. The length for the push rods is approximately 6 inches. The push rods are sold separately, not in a set. And steel push rods can be used in place of the aluminum push rods. The part number for the push-rod in steel is PS16383228. We hope this information is useful!
What would cause both push rods to be bent on the right side and aren't functional?
For model number B&S 40H7770242E1
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. Usually when something like this happens it is because the valve is malfunctioning and these parts get bent by the piston. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The aluminum push rod, is it the intake or exhaust rod?
For model number 331877-2371-G5-12010370
Hello Greg, thank you for your question. This Aluminum Push Rod is used for the Exhaust Valve, but is not the replacement for your model. For your model the replacement is part PS9066108.

On my factory-original pushrods, the intake rod is aluminum, and the exhaust rod is steel. I notice that the steel replacement on your site is no longer available. Why the difference? Are they the exact same size? Why is aluminum acceptable for exhaust?
For model number 44P777-0027-E1
Hello John, Thank you for the question. The are the same size and it will fit. Briggs and Stratton has made changes over time and only makes it in Aluminum. For more specialized assistance or to speak with someone about this, we would suggest calling Briggs and Stratton directly. We hope this helps!
