This titanium-coated shift fork helps to change gears in your lawn equipment to make it go faster or slower. When damaged, you will have trouble changing gears and strange clunking sounds will come from your machine. If you leave it unrepaired, the gears in your machine may start to grind and the transmission may eventually fail completely. To remove the shift fork from your machine, you need to access its housing by unthreading its bolts or screws. Then you need to use a pry bar or a pair of pliers to lift the shift fork off its pin or shaft. Bear in mind that this OEM part is sold separately, so if your machine uses a manual transmission, you may need to replace more than one shift forks. Confirm this by consulting your user manual.
