I want to change the damper is their any other part i should change wile doing this. The lower freezer is working but its not blowing cold air to the top of the fridge
For model number lghn2844meo

Hello Joe, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the evaporator motor as well. The motor will blow air through the unit to the fridge and the damper opens and closes to allow more or less air into the unit. Good luck with your repair!

My refrigerator and freezer are not cooling like they should. They are staying between 50 and 57 degrees.I cleaned the condenser and fan, they are working.Would the Damper control be the next step and also does the refrigerator have a separate sensor and where would it be located?
For model number Lfhb2741pfba

Hello Christopher, thank you for contacting us. Provided that the evaporator fan is working, we would recommend checking the temperature sensor, part number PS1765215. It is located near the rear duct, you can access it by removing the duct cover. If the temperature sensor is good, the issue is probably related to the air damper, part number PS899531, and/or the defrost thermostat, part number PS12729016. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

On my water despenser the water reservoir (tube bundle) keeps freezing up not letting water thru despenser. Thermostate set on 37 degree and food in refg is ok. The water reservoir keeps freezing up. What could cause this problem
For model number EI23BC56IS8

Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: water inlet valve, evaporator fan motor, condenser fan motor, defrost thermostat, defrost heater and make sure that the insulation in the back is not damaged or missing in any way. Hope this helps!

Freezer Cold, but Refrigerator not Cold
We replaced the damper, but it didn't fix the problem. We then purchased and replaced the thermistor. (We had previously replaced the defrost thermostat). The refrigerator side is now cooling better, but not enough. The damper doesn't seem to be opening. So we have now unplugged the damper and left the opening between the refrigerator propped open and the refrigerator side is now cool enough. (We had previously tried keeping the damper open before we replaced the thermistor and the refrigerator didn't cool off. So the thermistor did fix something, but the damper doesn't seem to have been the problem).
