Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
My water filter cup was cracked and leaked
I ordered a replacement on-line (real simple, visual aids helped more than model nos). Once I received it in the mail, I installed it (no tools required) and now my water filter and ice maker are back to doing what they do best!

1st day milk started to freeze on top shelf, 2nd day then water wouldn't dispense, 3rd day heard loud pop couldn't tell what it was, next night water on floor coming from inside of fridge- when i unscrewed the water filter found that it had ice and the housing for it had broken. If i replace that will it stop the freezing or do i need to replace something else too?

Hi Melonie, Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator is getting too cold, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the defrost thermsotat, the filter cup, the adaptive defrost control board, the temperature control thermostat, the evaporator fan motor and the control box with damper. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am looking for a part, described to me as a 'filter bypass plug' for model frs6r5esbl that will allow me to forgo having and using a filter in the unit. We have a more advanced filtering and reverse osmosis system upstream in the water supply before the refrigerator. Thank you.

Hello Ron, Thank you for your inquiry. With this particular model, it does not have a filter bypass cap, you would only need to remove the filter. Hope this helps!

The water tube that rests in the actual nipple where the water is dispensed will not stay in place. Using the water dispenser, water comes out the nipple but also to the right side of the dispenser. Thinking there was a hole in the tube, i took it apart only to find that the tube just wont stay seated in the nipple cavity. What if anything can i use to hold the tube in place?

Hello James, Thank you for the question. The tube should stay in place once installed. Sounds like the tube may be warped or wore out and need to be replaced. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
