My refrigerator condenser fan was burned out, and it was so weak you could stop it with your hands, and over time it will stop working. I order a replacement and change it my self, all you got to do is take the cover from the back off and unscrew the fan + blade it was like 3 screws; I did had to cut the wires because the original fa

Where are coils located by condenser fan. Also fan flys off on occasion and why

Hi Diane, Condenser coils are usually located on the back of the fridge or across the bottom. If your fan flys off there is likely a missing or loose part. I would check the fan and fan grommet to make sure they are secure. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

How does the fan connect to rod? We just have a fan blade that slides onto a rod with no bolts or anything. Just wondering if we are missing a part?

My Amana side by side makes a intermintant humming bird sound. Sometimes loud, sometimes not at all. Comes and goes. Maybe a fan?

Thank you for the question, it could be the fan motor or blades. You can check to see if maybe the blades need to be cleaned. Over time they collect dust and dirt and can cause the humming noise. The motor can also make a noise if it is failing.
