The drain hose is black in color and made of flexible material. This is a part for your top-load washer. The hose measures 57 inches long. This part moves the water out of the washer and into the drain. If this parts cracks or becomes damaged it will leak during the drain cycle of your wash and you may find water on the floor. To access the hose, you will need to move the washer away from the wall to get to the back of the appliance. There will be two screws holding it in place that will need to be removed.

Will a 10ft hose #98539 worth. What holds this hose in no place for clamp
For model number Wpre8150k2wt
Hello Tresa, thank you for your question. The Drain Hose Clip Part Number: PS270508 holds the drain hose into place at the back of the unit towards the bottom. The drain hose then comes up and goes into the drain port in your home to allow the water to drain our of the unit, up through the hose and into the drain in your home. Anti-Siphon Clip Part Number: PS271098 is used to hold the top of the drain hose into place at the drain port. I hope this helps!

Will this work on my laundry center washer
For model number Wsm2700dawww
Hello Bill, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and have found that this part is not listed as compatible to your model. The compatible drain hose for your model is part# FIX756357. We hope this helps.
Hello Bob, Thank you for the question. In most cases the appliance would come with a required drain hose, however we do not sell appliances, just parts so this would be a quest better answered by General Electric. We hope this helps!

Old Hose Had A Leak
First I removed the screws that held the hose drain hose clip in place. Removed the damaged hose. Placed the new drain hose clip at the end of the new drain hose. Re-inserted back in hole, pushed in hose to necessary depth then tighted screws, Very easy and painless.
I attached the Drain Hose Clip to the Drain Hose Extension and then pushed the drain hose all the way into the drain hole in the back of the machine. I then screwed the clip to the machine. Done. Very painless. Fast delivery... ordered it on Monday, arrived on Tuesday.
Unplugged the washer and unscrewed the hot and cold filler hoses from the back of the machine. Removed the 6 screws holding the top together. Unscrewed the 2 water valve mounting screws. Pulled off the electrical wires from the leads. Unclipped the water feed hose clip. Reattached everything to the new water valve in reverse order. Put the screws holding the top panel in place back in.
For good measure, I also replaced the drain hose since I had noticed a little leakage there. Two screws and a little twisting and pushing was all that took.
Then I hooked everything back up and it worked like a charm. Finally, I went out to dinner with my wife on the money I saved!
After realizing I had purchased a used washing machine without a drain hose I thought I would never find one, but then I found partselect.com. After easily locating the part on the web site from the detailed diagrams and model number I then ordered it. Receiving the part quickly I used a socket to remove the plastic connector that prevents the hose from disconnecting once the washer is turned on. I fed the hose through the plastic connector and into the drain hole without any issues. I then used my one small socket to secruely fasten it back together. There was no additional tools or items needed to successfully attach the washer drain hose.

Hose would not seal at rear of washer.
The hose has a tapered end that fits in a tapered hole in the back of the washing machine. When insalled the first time, the joint leaked badly. My solution was to coat the hose end and the interior of the hole in the back of the washing machine with silicon sealant;let it set up for a few minutes and install the new hose. This solved the leak and the hose seems to be working fine now.

Leaking hose
Unscrew the 2 screws holding the drain hose clip to the machine - use bucket to get an excess water - remove bad drain line - I installed a new drain hose clip as well - make sure you put the clip on at the same position as the previous hose - push house firmly into opening and screw into machine - pretty easy repair - and I'm a novice
used a socket to unscrew the clip. pulled out the old hose, slid the new hose into the clip and screwed the clip back on. all fixes should be this easy.

drain hose cracked, leaking water, when in use
It was easy, I just removed the old drain hose clip with a screwdriver. Next, removed the old, cracked hose, inserted the new one, and screwed the new clip in. The best part about this story is the incredible service I was given, by this company. I bought the machine at Sears, so I assumed I could find the hose their. No, they instructed me to go to Orchard Supply(their sister store), I purchased a drain hose, the clerk told me to buy, but the water was still leaking. So, I went on-line and found the right hose, and now I will continue to purchase what I ned for my machine from your company. REALLY Fast Service. Thanks
R&R Leaking/Damaged Hose and replaced it with the new one. One thing to be aware of is that after removing screws from the discharge hose upon removing the damaged one there was some water that did not expel from the unit so there was about a cup of water that came out. After removing the leaking hose you will need to remove the retaining plastic piece so that it can be placed on the replacement hose. Or if you ordered one put it on the hose so that it can retain the end of the hose in the washer. The anti-siphon clip is located about half way up the back of the washer it simply clips in place.

Replace drain hose for wash machine
New hose works fine. You need to advise the next customer that the bracket that attaches the hose to the wash machine is also a required part and should be ordered at the same time.
