Surface lights and filters needed replacement
By pulling the filter screens units down and out with a pair of pliers I had access to the surface lights. Pulled the lights out of their sockets and replaced the bulbs. Real easy. Since the filter units were out, replaced the filters and reinstalled the filter units. The whole operation took less than 15 minutes.
Took the the want burned out , and put the new ones.

Surface light when replaced with new bulb , still doesnt work. It looks like the two holders that you plug bulb into is black , like it was burned. Can this part be replaced? Is this the reason bulbs don't work?

Hello Patricia, thank you for your question. The light sockets can be replaced and should be replaced if they look burnt in any way. Burnt sockets can cause the light bulbs to not turn on. The light socket can be replaced very easily. The part number for the socket is W10143958. I hope this helps!

Halogen bulb 8184302- same question- one of the tines broke off when removing bulb. Can the tine be removed and how to do it?

Hello Frances, thank you for your question. We would recommend shutting off power to the unit, then trying to remove the piece with a pair of needle nosed pliers or tweezers. If that isn't possible you would have to replace the socket itself. I hope this helps!
