Does this kit come with the actuator (paddle) for both the water dispenser and ice dispenser? I need the one for the water dispenser (but i'll take both if that's the way it comes). Just that the photo looks like the ice dispenser only. Thanks!

Hi Andrea, thank you for your question. The photo would be correct, it is just your ice paddle. If you need the water that would be a different part. If you would like to resubmit your question with the model number of your appliance we can find that part for you. Thank you.

actuator paddle broke off of ice dispensor
Really simple repair... remove the drip tray, remove 3 mounting screws and pull the ice dispenser cover from the door... 3 more screws to remove the remaining assembly (disconnect the electrical connector and then two screws to get the actuator off. Install the new part and secure the retaining plates. (Clean the dispenser throat since it's open, it was nasty)
Put it all back together and enjoy a cool icy beverage!

Water actuator had broke off and water leaked from dispenser
The hardest part was figuring out how the front plate comes off. The tray will come forward when pried with a screwdriver. Then the top will come off but you will have to leave on due to attached wires. After that it was a piece of cake. Unscrew screws (6), remove small plates holding arm in place, remove arm, replace with new actuator, and close things up. As far as the valve, just take your time and, if needed, cut off pointed ends of tubings and push into new valve. Unplug color coded plugs and plug into new valve. Reattach valve to fridge and your done. We started everything up before attaching backing to make sure there were no leaks.

Broken drinking water actuator
It's a good idea to unplug the fridge before you start. There are lots of wires and circuit boards in the area where you will be working.
To remove the in door water / Ice dispenser cover, remove drip tray, remove a couple of screws at the bottom and slide the cover up to release the tabs. There are a few scews holding the mechanism housing, remove them and gently pull the housing forward. You should be able to see the top iof the actuator. The actuator is held in place by 2 small metal plates, each with two small screws. Note the location of the return spring on the actuator arm! You will need to orient it the same way on the new actuator arm. Remove the screws and plates and lift out the broken actuator.
Put the new actuator in place and orient the spring as before. Replace the plates and screws and put everything back together.
If you have big hands, everything is a bit tight so, a small magnetized philips screwdriver or a screwholding screwdriver will make for easy work. I used a little scotch tape to hold the screw to the screw driver and it worked but, it took a few tries. Good Luck!

The actuator on the water dispenser was broken and the water filter was leaking
The actuator was easy . . . just remove 6 screws (3 outside and 3 inside) and pull out assembly. The actuator popped out and I replaced it.
The water filter replacement was easy once I figured out how to use the quick connect fittings from the tube to the water filter assembly (see Youtube).

Broken water dispensor actuator
The repair was easy for me as I am very mechanically inclined. I did have a problem with the water actuator being a different shape then the original so I had ordered the ice actuator to replace also so they would match. The ice actuator matched the original so was unable to get the paddles to match in my door. It works fine but I don't like the look of two different style paddles in my door.

broken paddle
The repair was simple as described by another customer. One additional note, the water line is tight and can be difficult to remove. Extra slack is available under the fridge. Just push the slack up remove the water line. When the repair is complete reinstall the water line, pull the extra slack back from under the fridge.

The plastic paddle that actuates the ice dispenser broke off.
I followed the instructions that I pulled up online. It gave the basic instructions of how many screws that had to be removed, etc. etc, and basic instructions, but I did have to figure out for myself a couple of minor details. I am fairly handy and the project was not to difficult.

Exact part even for my almond fridge, 2 day shipping was really 4 days; replaced ourselves with a little youtube help. Preplan the water hose reinstall- that's tricky!

Water Dispenser Actuator
Manufacturer Part Number 241682002 was an exact match. Installation was a snap. Installation video was on YouTube and it helped a lot.

Simple installation.
Order contained both the ice and water actuators. Remove 3 screws along the bottom edge under the removable spill tray. Lift the bottom edge up and pull out. Separate the serial wires at touch panel's bottom edge. The touch panel frame should now be free. Remove the 3 screws around the icemaker circuit board. Both the ice and water dispenser tabs are held in by 4 screws and 3 tiny flat metal plates. If you seperate the water tube from the dispenser, be sure to clean the calc in and on the water tube. It is also a bear to get the tube back onto the dispenser. When replacing ice dispenser paddle, ensure ice chute flap is pushed open when paddle is depressed before you reinstall. If water dispenser paddle is removed ensure spring stays on place. Reverse steps to reassemble
