Fridge constantly cycling off/on, beeping
Bi-metal defrost thermostat tested bad, so replaced. To remove back freezer panel on this model, remove top left and right shelf pegs (use a screw driver). This will let back freezer panel slide up and out.

Control board, located in metal box above the inverter board had a bad 200uF electrolytic capacitor (bulging top) and 12v relay. Replaced all 5 electrolytic capacitors on the board and all 4 relays.

Works good.

Hello, We had a power surge which caused my frig to totally lose power. I replaced the circuit board. The lights, fan, and digital display are on but the compressor does not turn on. Do i also need to replace inverter board?

Hello and thank you for writing. It certainly sounds like the Inverter board might also have shorted. The easiest way to diagnose which part is faulty is to test the parts with the use of a multimeter. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

When the inverter board is going bad does it make a clicking or beeping sound and make the condenser fan cycle on and off rapidly. The compressor is running when this happens and doesn't shut down. Also the freezer and refrigerator compartments are cold and the factory temperature settings are reached. ( 0/37 degrees) thanks for your reply

Hi Greg, I think it may actually be the control board. All the symptoms seems like the control board failing. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Our freezer seems to get stuck in defrost mode? It runs fine then all the sudden it heats up in the freezer. The only way to get it back cold is to turn off the main power switch (under the top panel) for a few minutes and turn it back on. That usually gets the compressor to start up and start cooling again…. Until tomorrow?

Hello Peter, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Defrost Thermostat, PartSelect Number PS11750673. The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. We hope this helps!

Both freezer and refrigerator are not cooling, despite the fan running continuously. It appears the compressor will not turn on after multiple attempts to power the refrigerator off and on. There is a green flashing light from the control board located to the left of the compressor. My technician suspects a faulty compressor relay after checking it with the voltmeter. Can this be the only issue? And is the relay sold as a separate component or is it bundled with the compressor?

Hi Frank, thank you for the question. Make sure the condenser coils are not dirty and the evaporator is not frozen over. The issue is most likely related to a faulty start relay (not available separately for your model, so you must replace the inverter board, part number PS8760019). If this does not help, you need to inspect the defrost thermostat, part number PS11749258, and temperature control board. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

I just had our main circuit controller board refurbished (Core Centric) since they are no longer available on your website. We had is sent in twice. it does not interface with the temperature controls inside the fridge (the buttons that you use to set the temperatures) Set fridge to 34 but it cools to 20 and the freezer set to 0 but cooling to -20. Each time it is doing the same thing. The repair guy told us that it must be the interface board to the main circuit board. They want to charge another 280 for the part. I looked on your site and did not see such an extra interface board. Can you help me understand what additional board this may be? Maybe it is another name but maybe they are trying to get more $ for something they should have already fixed. Thanks
