Intimidated!
Need to replace the Control Panel on the front door of the Dishwasher. Viewed a You Tube video of a similar model. Need to disconnect power, water and drain. disconnect the wires from the pump. pull the unit partially out of the cabinet, remove the door hinge springs, remove the door, remove the back panel of the door then remove and replace the control panel then reassemble in reverse order. The video was about 10 minutes long but I'm sure it will take me the a better part of a day! So trying to get up the courage to take it on.

No light on panel and it does not turn on
For model number Gdf520psf4ss
Hello George, thank you for writing. For this symptom you will want to consider either the Door Latch part PS6447681, the Latch Striker part PS8690622, or the Main Board Kit part PS11721500 for your model. We hope this helps.

My dishwasher isn’t heating or drying dishes. The water flow appears fine (everything’s wet). I did notice that the control panel stopped beeping, but i think that happened a little before it stopped drying dishes. I replaced the heating element (ordered through you guys) because it was a cheap part to throw at it, with no success. I also replaced the water valve (because it was 5yrs old and dirty). Leaning towards the control panel or main board. Does the lack of beeping help pinpoint the possible cause of failure. All the lights and buttons work on the control panel. Thanks for you assistance.

Hi Lachlan, thank you for your question. The parts to check in a situation like this would be your heating element, your wiring, and your control board. You will want to inspect the wiring to see if there is any damage or burn marks. Since you have already replaced your element, you might need to look at your control board being the issue if the wiring is fine. Good luck with your repair.
