Microwave Fan Thermostat WB27X11213

Hello Dale, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the thermostat, part number WB27X11213. If the fuse is fine, and the unit is getting power, the thermostat may be blown which would prevent the unit from powering up. When testing this part this thermostat should be open at room temp and closes at a set temp. If the thermostat is fine the next step would be to test the main board part number WB27X25603. Hello Joe, thank you for your question. Inside the microwave are three micro switches; primary and secondary interlock micro switches and an Interlock Monitor switch. The switches are supposed to shut down the microwave if it is running and the door is opened. But, I've found the upper primary switch can stick internal at times and when the door is opened the stuck switch will, because of the way it is wired as a safety switch, cause either the fuse or possibly the main circuit breaker for the oven to pop. We would recommend testing the switches to determine which one is faulty and replacing the corresponding switch. If the microwave is tripping the breaker when it is turned on, then the microwave is either malfunctioning or their are too many appliances plugged into the same circuit. If the microwave is malfunctioning =, Plug the microwave into an area where the breaker is set for a higher amp rating (like a garage), then turn on the microwave and see what happens. If the circuit breaker in that area trips, it’s a sign that something is wrong with the microwave. You should either have the microwave fixed, or replace it. If the breaker does not trip, it means the microwave is fine, but it needs its own dedicated circuit. If you have too many appliances plugged into the same circuit, look at the label on the tripped breaker. If it says microwave, it is probably on a dedicated circuit.
