Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This oven control board manages and regulates all key functions of the appliance, including temperature control, cooking modes, timer settings, and display operations. It ensures accurate heating and proper coordination of oven cycles for consistent performance. A failing board can cause issues such as incorrect temperatures, unresponsive controls, error codes, or the oven not turning off. Replacing this component restores reliable operation and precise control. Installation involves disconnecting power, removing the old board, and securing the new one using existing connectors.

GE gas range. Seems like I am not getting any power to the range. I have checked the outlet and it's working. The front display won't turn on. No clock or any of the buttons on the display are working. I tried to light the broiler and it does not light up either.

Lower oven heats up then turns the whole oven off.
Part # WB29K 10423 replaced; worked for awhile but now does the same turn-off routine.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly and you have already replaced the electronic control board, the issue may be with the oven sensor. The oven temperature sensor is the part that monitors the oven temperature and signals the electronic control board to adjust the temperature inside the oven. Before removing this part from the oven and testing it with a multimeter for continuity, unplug the oven from the electrical outlet. A normal reading should be 1100 ohms, but as readings vary from model to model, you will need to reference your owner’s manual to determine what the correct reading should be. To test it for continuity, use a multimeter on the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes. This test needs to be done with the sensor at room temperature to produce accurate results. If your test results do not meet the manufacturer’s guidelines, you need a replacement temperature sensor. If the sensor is fine, you will need to check the igniter and the wiring between these parts to see which one is causing the issue. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
