When I installed the control unit that you diagnosed, it didnt fix the problem. So i returned it to you and hauled the dish washer to the dump and bought a new one.

We had a lighting storm a few months ago knocked out my wifi and dishwasher quit working . 3 lights light but won't start should i change the contro panel

Hi Patrick, thank you for the question. With the lighting strikes it most likley caused the control unit,Part Number: PS8736204 to burn out, it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Not draining. Resetting and restarting, any setting, almost immediately jumps to "clean." repair guy checked, said pump looked good, drain was clear, but unit not cycling because control board needs to be replaced. Does this sound right? He quoted over $350. Is this a fairly easy replacement?

Hello Crag, thank you for writing. This could be due to a faulty push button Switch, part number PS8727333 for your model. You may also want to consider the Door Latch, part number PS8728401 as the cause. Good luck with your repair!

DW not drying. Repair guy said he thought it needed a control board. He ran it thru the diagnostic test and the DW did dry for two cycles and then no more. They wanted almost $700 and would not guarantee it would fix the problem. How to determine which control board (two listed on your website) is needed?

I've closed the door, pushed the power on/off, the lights "normal wash" rinse aid" and "3 hr" delay start lights all light up. I try to cycle thru select a setting, all that will happen is the "child lock" light also lights up with any button pushed. The lights never cycle thru the other options, and pushing the start button only lights the "child lock" lamp. The machine never starts. I'm thinking i'm needing a new control unit , just not 100% sure. Stephen

I tested the control board a got a few ohm readings....anything that would really tell me if there was a problem with the board?

Thank you for your question. If your multimeter is only reading a few ohms then there is likely an issue with the board and it will need to be replaced. For some reason fill valve doesn't always open when starting the dishwasher. Dishwasher starts, both pumps work and then when supposed to fill, valve doesn't open and dishwasher gets to cancel mode and after a minute shows clean.
Sometimes it works fine on the first attempt, but most of the time you need to keep restarting it until it works.
I thought of a faulty valve so replaced it with a new one. Didn't fix it. I taught it wasn't recognizing the door was fully closed so I replaced the latch and lock, no change. Could it be the control unit?

Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the water inlet valve and the door switch and the dishwasher will still not fill with water, the issue may be with the control unit. Check the connections to it and make sure they are secure. Also, check the control unit for signs of damage, wear, scorching or burn marks. Model # on side is SHE3AR55UC/11. While running the dw I had a water failure and the washer ran a 2 minutes with no water before I could shut it off. After fixing my water issue I restarted it and it was stuck at half load. the only lights that were on was the half load light, the sanitize light and the active light was flashing. Pressing any other button made the child light flash. I can not get it to do anything else now. Do I need a new panel or something else. Thanks Lee

Hi Lee, Thank you for reaching out. The appliance may just need to be reset. Unplug the appliance for a few mins to allow the controls to reset. If this does not help, press and hold the start/reset button for 3 seconds until the display shows "0:01" or the active cycle light fades, then open the door and press the on/off button. Hello Frank, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching your model, this usually indicates that the main control board is detecting that the drain pump or circulation pump is drawing more power than it should. First check for any debris or obstacles that could keep the drain pump from working properly or causing a blockage to the pump. Next do the same thing with the circulation pump. You can also test both pumps with a multimeter to see if they are working properly. The other part that can cause this issue the control boards. Good luck with your repair.
