Dishwasher that would not drain
I first tested the dishwasher in a rinse and drain mode which revealed the pump was not functioning. After considerable video assistance the task of replacing the drain pump was manageable.

Easy Economical Repair
My Bosch dishwasher quit draining. First I called our appliance repair folks and the repair was $300.I looked at a video online and ordered this part for $117. The repair was exactly as the video showed and I did it in less time than it took for the second half of a college basketball game. The detail of your part reference (including the serial number) gave me confidence that I was ordering the correct part for my dishwasher. A very good experience overall.

Getting to the part at the bottom of the dishwasher was a little pain.
Everything went great installing the new drain pump. Our dishwasher works like it’s brand new again. I would recommend part select to anyone that needs to repair their dishwasher parts or any applications parts.
With the help of You Tube, this 50 year old Mom got the job done. Not that complicated if you watch the step by step instructions on the Appliance Pro video. My repairman and husband were both determined to just buy a new one but this 20 year old dishwashing genius was just in need of a little repair. Only need a screwdriver, and sli

Droning noise coming from the dishwasher
First of all, I quessed at what was causing the droning noise. It seemed that it started when the d.w. was draining. I looked at various sites to try and figure out what was causing the noise but they all wanted money up front before they would discuss the problem. I gambled that it was the drain pump figuring that, oh well at least it's

Overall, your service was very good. The thing I'm disappointed with is the fact that my expensive Bosch d.w. had to be repaired.

I did not know how to reach the part to be replaced so I took the base off and everything became complicated as I had to put it back, lots of electrical wires, houses aso.
To replace the part per se was simple. To put everything back in place was more difficult as I took the base of the dishwasher off and a lor of other parts in order to reach for the drain pump. The irony was, after I took appart the base I fount a clip on the internet showing how to do that job and that was a very simple thing, couple of

Won't drain. No blockage. Took it apart. I think it's drain pump, but how can i test existing drain pump to see if it works?
For model number SHE43M05UC
Hello Humberto, thank you for writing. You can test the Drain Pump with a multi-meter. It should read as between 20-40 ohms to be working correctly. You may also want to consider either the Check Valve part PS8697043 or the Micro Filter part PS8727803 for your model. We hope this helps.

Makes loud noise on emptying water
For model number SHE43RF5UC
Hello Patrick and thanks for writing.
The main part of your dishwasher that will cause this noise when it drains out the water is the DRAIN PUMP itself. NOTE: It may be a faulty DRAIN PUMP or there might be something stuck inside the SUMP ASSEMBLY, which is creating the noise you hear when the dishwasher drains. We really hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

The water drains but i am getting a little louder noise coming from the drain pump area. Do you think the drain pupm is the source or something else?
For model number SHE43P22UC
Hi Mary, thank you for your question. If the source of the noise is from your drain pump, then you may need to take a look at that part for being the issue. You may want to look at the hoses connected to it as well. Just to make sure there is nothing clogged in the lines that might be causing the noise. Good luck with your repair.

We we're away for 2 weeks, and after coming back the dishwasher was overflowing. The whole bottom of the dishwasher was full of clean water and it was leaking through the doors, even when closed. I opened the door and turn on the dishwasher to pump out the water, and it was only pumping for a few seconds before it stopped working. The control panel will not turn on, and it looks almost like it has no power. Thanks, jack
For model number SHE99C05UC
Hi Jack, thank you for your question. It sounds like there are a few parts you might need to check, you should check your water inlet valve, and your pump. If those parts are fine then the issue might be in your electronic control board. Good luck with your repair.

The dishwasher is washing dishes fine and also pumps the water out but close to the end of the wash it makes a grinding or rubbing sound like a dry bearing. Would this be the drain pump?
For model number SHE45M02UC/53
Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for your question. If you are hearing a grinding noise from the dishwasher, there is a likely debris in the chopper blade area and you will need to clean it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My dishwasher leaves 1 1/2 cups of water in the the drain area every time it runs. It smells bad. I use a turkey baster to remove all the water and clean all the filters almost once every 2 weeks now. Might it be the pump or hosing?
For model number Bosch SHE68R55UC/69
Hello Mary, Thank you for the question. I suggest removing the drain hose and pump to see if they have a blockage before replacing the pump. Hope this helps!

My dishwasher won't drain. No debris, stain. I checked the pump with a multimeter: 26 ohms. Could still be a faulty pump? Faulty drain check valve?
For model number SHE43P02UC/64
Hello Vasile, thank you for your question. It is quite common for a dishwasher to not drain because either the drain hose is clogged up. Drain hose clogs commonly occur where the hose is attached to the main household drain line, or where the hose connects with the garbage disposer. It could be a faulty Check Valve part PS8697043. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
Our Bosch dishwasher seems to drain water during initial cycles, but leaves some standing clear water in the bottom once it's finished. Hoses have been checked and we can't find a blockage. We don't seem to have an air gap, but a high loop setup where it hooks up to the plumbing pipe under the sink. Do you think replacing the pump would fix this issue?
For model number SHX45M05UC/48
Hello Jennifer, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched your model and found that the issue could be caused by a faulty drain pump, part number PS8729769. You may also need to replace the check valve, part number PS8697043. It prevents water in the drain hose from flowing back into the tub. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of assistance!
