Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This oven temperature sensor is designed to accurately measure the internal temperature of the oven cavity and relay that information to the appliance’s electronic control system for precise heat regulation. By monitoring real-time temperature changes, the sensor helps ensure consistent baking and roasting results while preventing overheating or underheating. Replacing a faulty sensor can correct issues such as inaccurate temperature readings, uneven cooking, failure to maintain the set temperature, or error codes related to temperature control. Installation typically involves accessing the sensor from inside the oven cavity, disconnecting the two-wire connector, and securing the replacement sensor in place with mounting screws after power is disconnected.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Oven does not maintain consistent temperature
Remove slide racks from oven. At the back right corner of oven unscrew heat sensor probe. Access rear of range. Remove screws holding back panel. Find wire from temperature probe where it passes through back wall of over and unclip it pulling probe wire and probe out back of oven. From the inside of oven, push chopstick through hole probe
... Read more wire was routed through, to find hole in back wall of oven. Once chopstick is visible from back of oven, with chopstick enlarge hole through visible insulation. This is the opening the new probe wire needs to be routed through. From inside oven push new wire, using chopstick, through this hole and reattach wire at back of oven using the plastic clip on the wire. From inside oven screw probe to back of oven wall, reattach outside panel to back of oven, turn gas back on, plug range back in, check oven operates, and push range back in place, reinstall racks. You may have to remove oven door if you have trouble reaching to the back of the oven to access the probe. YouTube videos are easy to find showing how to do that.

I don't know if it's related, but after my new housekeeper cleaned my oven, it now goes on (bake & broil) no problem but shuts off after about a minute. Is this likely a faulty temperature sensor that needs to be replaced?I had a tech recommend also changing the valve (00427071) but since that's discontinued they'd need to remove and rebuild it, leaving my oven unusable for 3 months. I'm hoping that I can first verify it's not the temperature sensor or another part, and only replace the valve if that's the last option (or if we can confirm that it's definitely not working).
For model number PG366BS/07
Hello Erez, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the sensor to be sure it is not defective. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps. We hope this helps!

Hi, I have a Thermador Professional Range Oven. It said model number PRG366GH / 17 - FD970200001.
Some of the burners won’t light. You hear the clicking and smell the gas but they don’t light. What part is needed. Also, the broil function on the oven works but only when on broil (obviously) and when the temp also is on Broil. in other words, I can’t use the top heat for any other temperature like 400. Is something wrong with a temperature sensor or could it be designed this way.
For model number PRG366GH
Hi Tina, thank you for the question. Based on the description, the issue is with the electrode, part number PS11704946. You may need to replace the defective electrodes on the range top burners to fix the issue. Also, after our research and understanding of the second issue, you probably have a defective temperature sensor, part number PS8729210. You may need to replace the sensor to fix the issue. Glad to be of help!
My oven seems to not be reliably holding temperature, e.G. Set to 350, but will cool down to 200 before burner comes back on. ..... my thought is that the thermostat is more likely culprit?
For model number PRG366GH/10
Hi Jason, Thank you for your question. There could be a few parts that can cause an issue like that. The thermostat is definitely one of them. You may also want to check your igniter as well. If those parts are both fine, then it may be your PCB that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My oven display reads "Set Temperature Probe 160". My oven still heats up and I'm able to use it to cook, but the message on the display is always there and never changes. Does this mean the temperature probe needs to be replaced?
For model number PRD366JGC
Hello Tania, Thank you for contacting us. Researching your model, this error code either indicates that the board is currently not configured to your oven or it is not reading the temperature sensor correctly. You can test the sensor with a multimeter to see if it is causing the issue. Most oven temperature sensors will read between 1000-1100 ohms at room depending on the manufacturers guidelines. You may need to check with the manufacturer directly or consult your owners manual on how to configure the control board. We hope this helps.
