The dryer makes a terrible noise at start up but gets quiet after a few minutes. After the dryer get warm, no noise. Is this the part that is most likely the culprit?

Hi William, Thank you for the question. Yes, I would agree the bearing may need to be replaced. You should be able to see visible wear on the bearing once it is removed. It is also a good idea to check the Drum Support Rollers and the Belt. Hope this helps!

I purchased new dryer bearing part#00618931 for my Bosch dryer from part select yesterday. Very happy that it was delivered today, great service. Was wondering do i need to lubricate this bearing or is it oilite bronze. If i do what lubricant should i use.
