Easy repair of Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser
The spring which is attached to the cover of the soap dispenser snapped into two pieces. This kit provides a replacement spring which is very easy to install between the sliding cover and the tripping device. We left the old tripping device in place, so it was not necessary to take apart the large door. There are good YouTube videos for more background info about how to remove/replace the cover, but the full procedure is not needed to just replace the spring. I was able to replace the cover without any tools at all. The kit + shipping/handling is pricey, but delivery was fast. Maybe someday we will need to replace the tripping arm.

The blue plastic piece has snapped off. How I do I remove it from its place to insert the new piece?
For model number SHU6805UC/12
Hello Joann,
Unplug the dishwasher. Open the door and remove the front panel's side screws. Close the door
carefully, and when it is upright, pull the door down to release it from the control panel, then
set it aside. Use tape to hold the white piece on the dispenser intact. Use a screwdriver
to press on the blue button to push it past the prongs, then open the dishwasher door. Remove
the detergent lid by sliding it. Take off the latch and slide the lid off. Use a screwdriver
to pry out the detergent cup latch. When it is released, lift it out and remove the orange
seal underneath it. Reverse this process to install the part.
I hope this helps.

My detergent lid no longer closes in a locked position prior to starting a wash but the spring assembly seems to be functioning as it should. Will a simple spring replacement kit fix this issue or will I need to replace the whole dispenser assembly? Thanks.
For model number SHU9915
Hi Ron,
Thank you for your question. Replacing the spring should help with this. The spring is part of the tripping device, part number PS8697162. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
