This check valve is a genuine OEM part that is compatible with several different makes and models of dishwasher. A check valve is designed to prevent the backflow of dirty water, food waste, and debris back into the dishwasher by sealing the valve of your dishwasher when the dirty water exits. In doing so, it also protects the pipes and pump system from any potential damage that backward-flowing water could do. If your dishwasher is experiencing issues with filling, draining, or cleaning properly, the check valve may need a crucial replacement. This check valve is made of translucent plastic, is found near the drain hose and drain pump assembly, and measures approximately 1-inch by 1.5-inches.

Part as in the online photo. No problems with it. Standard shipping a bit expensive for such a small plastic part.

My Bosch unit has and has always worked excellently. However recently the unit won't shut off at the end of the drain cycle. The pump continues to run indefinitely after drain is complete. Any suggestions?
For model number SHX46106UC/21
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If you dishwasher is still on after a cycle has completed, the issue my be either a bad heating element or a timer motor. You will need to check each part with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

This dishwasher has been almost flawless for 15 years. It won't drain now. Have removed drain hose and run water through drain line and there is no blockage. We can get it to drain by manually holding down the drain "trigger". Is this part possibly faulty and a quick fix? Thanks for your time.
For model number SHE44C02UC/22

The dishwasher seems like the pump is running after the water is already out. It will shut off with the power button. If you push the button to start it starts immediately even with the door open.
For model number SHX33R55UC/64
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your question. If the drain pump is constantly running, there may still be water on the bottom under the cavity. This water will need to be wiped up with either a cloth, sponge or paper towel.
We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Intermittently, dishwasher leaves water in the bottom of the tub rather than evacuate all the water at the end of a wash. Has overflowed onto the floor. Dishwasher will empty water from tub by manually starting and cancelling a wash cycle. Does not overflow if water is emptied from tub prior to full wash. Which part should be replaced?
For model number SHE55M12UC/64
Hello Philip, thank you for reaching out. We have researched the model and would recommend making sure the drain hose and filter are clean of any debris. If the issue remains, the problem might be with the drain pump, part number PS8729769, or the check valve, part number PS8697043. A faulty drain pump might not be automatically draining the water. The function of the check valve is to make sure the water from the drain hose does not flow back to the tub. If this does not solve the problem, the culprit might be the main control board, part number PS8736217. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
The water inlet valve is switching on and off especially at start of the express program. Water filter is checked and clean. Is the issue the water inlet valve, the water level sensor or something else?
For model number GM 240-110
Hi Klas,
Thank you for your question. Based on what you described, it could be the water inlet valve. There are some other parts that you will need to check as well. You should check the electronic control board, the door latch, the thermistor and the switches, to see if they are working correctly. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
