Question:

Hi, I have a 2004 Frigidaire pro series double oven that the upper broiler element won't heat up on. If I turn on just the upper oven itself the lower burner heats up but not the top element (lower broiler and oven work fine). The upper oven portion heats up just not the broiler part element. I just replaced the element with a new one from you guys (thanks for the quick shipping) and the broiler still wont heat up. Could it now be the oven temperature probe (part number 316217002) that needs to be replaced? Thanks don

DON for model number PLEB27T8CCB
Answer:

Hi Don, Thank you for the question. It sounds like it might be the probe sensor or the control board. I suggest testing the sensor with a Ohm Meter. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Question:

When we turn on oven it displays code DR

Herman
Answer:

Hi Herman, Thank you for your question. The DR error code just indicates that there is a miscommunication between your control board and the rest of your appliance. I would suggest unplugging your appliance for about 5 minutes. That may reset the board and fix your issue. Good luck with your repair.

Question:

Hi i have already replaced 3 parts (range timer #318010501, temp probe #316217002 & the upper broil heating element #ps453603) on this oven (Frigidaire pleb27t8ccb) and still can't get my upper oven broiler element to come on (all of the other upper functions work fine and all the lower oven functions work fine). Does either p/n 318022001 or 318022002 have any control over the upper oven broiler element or could it be some other part in the oven? Txs don

DON for model number PLEB27T8CCB
Answer:

Hi Don, Thank you for your question. Part number 318022002 controls your upper oven functions. It could either be that part or your oven temperature sensor. Although, if it was your sensor, I believe that both your bake and broil element would be giving you issues. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Question:

Turn the oven on to pre-heat and after a short time (10 mins?), i get an f10 error code on the control panel and oven is very hot! Temp sensor or control panel issue? Thanks! -rob

Rob for model number FGES3045KFA
Answer:

Hello Rob, thank you for contacting us. The sensor is a common part to cause that code. You can test the sensor with a multi-meter to determine if it is at fault. If the readings are good then the next part would be the electronic control board PS2368652. Hope this helps!

Oven not heating to desired temperature

Replaced clock control by removing surface burner control knobs and plastic nuts, and then the cover over the oven control. Two screw hold the clock in place, after removal and disconnecting the plug-in you can reinstall the new clock control. The Heat Sensor inside the oven will also need to be replaced. It is located inside the oven and attached with two screws; the back of the oven will need to be removed to unplug. Reverse removal procedure and turn the power back on to the stove.
