Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
Motor making clicking sound in low speed. Bearings bad.
First I unplugged the washer from the wall and then I removed the front panel with a putty knife. I slid the putty knife in between the front panel and top of the washer to disengage the two clips (see parts diagram on Partselect.com). Then I removed the four nuts holding the motor. I then removed the motor and old belt. I installed the new motor and new belt and tightened the four nuts ensuring proper belt tension. The new motor included a new wiring harness and capacitor. The wiring harness installation instructions were easy to follow. Besure to read the all the instructions first before beginning to cut the old harness. Once the wiring harness was installed, the machined worked just like new. I did not need the Retaining Clip for Clutch since the new motor and clutch kit come as one assembly and there is no longer an actual clutch. The two-speed motor just has a pulley for the belt.

Washer only spins on the fast setting, when the selector is placed in the other settings it acts likes its trying but then goes back to fast. I disconnected the wires on the switch to align it for the other speeds and that proved the switch to be fine. You can hear a clicking from the motor when it's trying to go to the slower speeds, is there a relay or switch on the motor that can be replaced?

Hello Eddie, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, any relay or switch on the motor are only available by ordering the whole motor itself. They are not sold separately. It definitely sounds like a clutch/motor issue, so we would recommend replacing the Motor and Clutch Kit - 2 Speed Part Number: PS783736. I hope this helps!

Our GE washer WCSR2070TAWW starts a spin cycle it comes up to speed in a few seconds then makes a “clunk” and stops spinning. This happens even when there is no laundry in the machine. Is this a bad capacitor? I can’t find a replacement capacitor on your site. Thank you in advance. Regards, Bill

Hi Bill, thank you for reaching out. We have researched your model and found that a bad capacitor and/or clutch could cause the clunking noise and stop the spin cycle.
