Dishwasher was stopping mid-cycle and beeping every 15 seconds (as if the door had been opened)
I watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k0iZGwMOGc
And then I did exactly what it said! It was easy. Plus, when I opened the panel I could see the old switch interlock assembly was melted on one side, so I knew I had gotten the right part!

Dishwasher was not starting
Replaced interlock assembly as one of the possible causes. The replacement was easy, but this was not the final fix. I also replaced the water inlet valve, flood switch and finally found that there was large calcification within the drain tube assembly (not visible, but was blocking water). Got a new flexible tubing and new drain hose, plugged everything together and the dishwasher runs like new now. Watching for a potential leak from the drain tube to drain hose connection and mya need to tape it up, but so far so good...

I have identified the part (i think) i need. It is the switch interlock assembly. It looks like it is hard wired in the dishwasher or does it have wire plugs? Thanks!

Hi Wayne, Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please turn the power supply off to your dishwasher. To replace the interlock switch assembly, your first step is to remove the screws securing the inner and outer door panels together. Once the screws have been removed separate the 2 panels. Now close the inner panel and secure it with the latch. Remove the mounting screws securing the old door switch assembly and release it. Unsnap the cover and remove the 2 switches. Disconnect the wires and set the old switches and housing aside. Install the new door switch assembly by first unsnapping the cover and removing the door switches. Connect the wires to the new switches and position the switches in the housing and then snap the cover closed. Position the new assembly on the outer door panel and secure it with the screws. Realign the inner and outer door panels and secure them with the screws. Restore power to the dishwasher and the dishwasher should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I just replaced the float switch because it was malfunctioning(no continuity when activated). Now when i close the door and try to start a cycle the breaker trips. Any suggestions please on where to start trouble shooting? Thanks

Hi Joey, Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is tripping the breaker, it could be caused by a number of things. If the dishwasher is plugged into a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) and the outlet senses a circuit overload, it will cause the circuit to trip. Always make sure it is plugged into a regular outlet. If water is leaking from the dishwasher or there is excess humidity coming from the dishwasher will cause the breaker to trip. There may be an issue with the dishwasher power cord. If there is a short in the power cord or any exposed wires, then the breaker will trip. Faulty wiring in the dishwasher will cause the breaker to trip. Also, check the circuit breaker itself, to see if there are any issues with it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi again, i have no power reading at two-terminal harness at pump. I do have continuity between terminals on pump and the harness. I do get a power reading(120v) between one terminal on harness and dishwasher metal body. Could this be a control board issue or possibly the door switch? Unit not tripping breaker now, but dishwasher will not run a full cycle, lights/timer go off on led screen. Still not getting water, so maybe something is heating up and shutting unit down. Suggestions? Thanks

Hi Joey, Thank you for your question. If the other parts are working correctly, then you should test the door switch and the electronic control board to see if these parts are causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Now close the inner panel and secure it with the latch. Remove the mounting screws securing the old door switch assembly and release it. Unsnap the cover and remove the 2 switches. The front display does not turn on when door is closed, and washer does not turn on. BUT i do hear the beep when door is closed. Can the interlock switch still be the problem?
