This is a water fill tube which is used in refrigerators. It attaches to the water inlet valve and supplies water to the components in your appliance that need it, such as the icemaker and water dispenser. You will need to replace your fill tube if you notice it is leaking or damaged. This replacement tube is approximately 7 inches in length, and it is made entirely of plastic. The fill tube is sold individually. Before you begin repairing your refrigerator, make sure the water supply has been turned off and that the appliance has been unplugged.

Water was leaking from the valve/pump for the icemaker
Remove the screws that hold the old valve to the side of the refrigerator. Next, detach each plastic tube and attach that tube to the same place on the new valve, and repeat (there are many valves). Afterward, I realized that many of the plastic tubes had become brittle and had mineral deposits, so I bought additional tubing for ice make

How do you replace this part? Do you have a video?
Hi Bob, Thank you for the question. After removing the water line by unscrewing the fitting, You will need to turn the fill tube counter clockwise to about 11:00 and then pull straight out.Next line up the notch on the new fill tube with the tab on the back of the appliance above the hole and insert the tube. Once it is in you turn it clockwise to lock into place.Hope this helps!

Keep having this problem with ice building up on the evaporator fan. I take off the back panels, to remove the ice collecting around the fan motor. Can't find any leaks where the water comes into the ice maker. Your help will be appreciated.
For model number FFHS2622MSJ
Hello Craig, thank you for your question. If the evaporator fan and area are building up with ice, we would recommend testing the defrost heater, defrost thermostat, evaporator fan motor and thermistor pt # PartSelect Number: PS8760187. I hope this helps!

My ice maker leaks water out of the ice tray causing ice to build up in the cube box. The frige is level and the ice maker works but how do i stop the water from leaking out of the tray? What do i look at?

Hello Alan and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty water inlet valve PS7784018, you should check for signs of damage, and replace if necessary.
You also should make sure that the water filter was replaced recently with an OEM filter PS3412266. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
I had a problem with this part a year after purchase. Water was running behind back panel and freezing on fan. Frigidaire repairman came, took the panel off and removed ice. I had several icings again, took the panel off myself to dislodge ice. Repairman was finally called again, discussed my issue with company. Found the water tube was flawed. Mine was an open tube, company said it should be a closed tube. Certified Frigidaire repairman duct taped the open tube instead of replacing it with updated closed tube. Well, the duct tape has sprung a leak, which caused quite the mess as you can imagine. I notice the suggested replacement tube is also open. This can't be correct. (#51 water tube)

Hello Linda, Thank you for writing. Sadly, the closed tube part you are requesting we do not have listed. We strongly recommend you contact the manufacturer, as they would have this information in their system. Ask them for the part number you require and contact back to see if it is something we carry. We hope this helps!

Can the new water tube be installed without removing the entire back covering inside the freezer?
Hello Donald,
Thanks for your question. Yes, if you pull out the fridge, the water tube can be accessed on the back of the appliance itself via a compression nut holding it in.
I hope this helps.

Ordered and replaced water tube per your instructions. Water continues to leak/drip for a few moments where it exits refrigerator in front panel. Is there a closure valve or cock for the water aperture?
For model number FRG7763975 (water tube)
Hi Donald,
Thank you for your question. If water is dripping from the dispenser for a few moments after use, then the issue may be with the switch that controls the solenoid and you will need to check it with a multimeter to see if it is working correctly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi Lee, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check for this issue. Your ice maker being one of them. You may also want to check your tubing and your water inlet valve as well. You may want to check your defrost thermostat and heater as well, just to make sure they are not defrosting your freezer too much. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
